I don't really think the new GM had much to do with that. Heck folks on here knew last yr that Brown and Pillar would be gone this yr

That's the key, when was the last time Brown made it through a full season healthy? Also, as someone already mentioned, he'd either break a huge run or he'd get stopped at the line, I'd rather have a powerful back that you know will get you 3-4 yards anytime you give him the ball, even if the defense has eight or nine in the box, Brown did not give us that. I know few backs can do that, but I think LenBudda has the potential to become that type of back. Now the million dollar question is does he have the motivation?

    I think you're forgetting who's the HC, it's still Mr. Won't-bench-veterans-until-they're-years-past-the-expiry-date

Well. Gunny. That touchdown run was amazing by Henry but i wasent ever saying that henry cant do things like that. That huge run wasent being "explosive" that was just amazing blocking and poor attemps to tackle. No excuse for people like Brian Dawkins not to tackle him.

Everyone im sure knows if Brown would of never been injured wed be salavating rite now saying we have Eddie George all over again. The thing I was saying was Brown could of been a very very very good back. And if he would stay healthy hes better then Henry. But hes not. SO therefore Henry is head and shoulders better. Like I said before. I hope he goes to the Giants and has a sucessfull career. Just not when we play them.

Against the Texans he had 4 carries. His best rushing game over the last two years was 95 yards against the browns in '05. He had his chance, and couldn't consistently shoulder the load. He's not a lead guy, but a decent change of pace back.

the giants won't pickup Brown.. they already have a big back in Jacobs.. they'll look for a more compact runner like they had in Tiki.. and whoever says Brown was/is better than Henry is just kidding themselves

Chris Brown's stats.. (one 1000 yard season .. and barely at that)

Travis Henry stats (three 1000 yard seasons.. including this one when he wasn't with us all year)

I never really understood why we drafted brown.. he wasn't really suited for our "power the ball" system.. he's an upright runner who does a decent job at finding holes and speeding through them.. but his stance makes gives him durability issues".. he'll do well in a system like what the broncos have.. if he goes there I see him easily getting 1000 plus yards...

henry is like george.. powerfull.. and like biploar said eariler ... runs like a bull

He had a good half seasons a few years back. And yes, from time to time he would break out a 30+ yard run. But he could never pick up the yards on a 3rd and 1 or 2. He was not reliable in that area and was also not a very good 2nd half running back. This team needs 2 running backs that get alot of playing time and that will be Lendale and Henry.
