Hmmm...and Kevin Carter didn't fit, either.

But yeah to Bowe. Need to see more of Johnson. Afraid that's a LaBoy type pick. Need more proof otherwise.

    Well...

    Keep in mind 2 things...

Most of these are mock drafts by FANS.

Even the Mel Kiper Jr.'s move the 'hot' guys. Players like Bowe usually 'fall' around this time. He'll be down a bit 'til he runs his 40 at the combine or personel workout. I actually think it's good that he's 'dropped.' Maybe there's a better chance he'll run at the combine to 'boost' his stock!

Question is, can Bowe be the next Anquan Boldin, or will he be one of the several big but dissappointing WR's drafted over the last several years?

good thought, but I don't think a first and second round pick would be enough to move up 15 spots

Using Jeff's draft chart, we could only move up to 10 or 11 with our first and second as trade bait.

I'm not sure if we want to sacrafice our second round pick to move up 6 spots in the first round. Probably a third or fourth round pick would do it.

It really just depends on which team gives it to us, and the chances of the player they have their eye on still being there 6 or 7 spots later.

Cariker is not slow. He is a great pass rusher and would make a great 4-3 DE. Just watch his combine workouts and I think you will change your mind. Did you follow what he did at the Senior Bowl? The scouts sure did.

    well...

Well, he wasn't in anyone's first rnd until the Senior Bowl practices. While he was impressive, you have to ask yourself a few questions.

First, if he's that good and that fast at that size, how come he didn't dominate everyone?

Second, how far is anyone gonna rise off of a week of practice versus years of game film?

Third, most compare him to a Richard Seymour type in that he might be best to play DE in a 3-4 where he can mostly be a run-stuffer and inside pass rusher. Could we use him at LE and maybe slide him inside on pass rushing downs? Would KVB be as effective at RE?

Workout warriors who come out of knowhere come with risk. I certainly wouldn't trade up for him, but you can't have too many good DL.

Carriker should be judged on his junior year, when he was a terror and did dominate. His Senior year he was asked by the coachs to not rush the QB, but to stop the run and protect an inexperienced and weak secondary from a big play. When he went to the Senior Bowl, he was again turned loose, hence his impressive performance.
