Denver Broncos cut DE Courtney Brown

Judging by that, I would say he didn't play all that well, but still, I know he was part of that Denver line that played really well a few years back and their D was good again this year so...

tackles and sacks don't tell the whole story, but that does look really bleak.

 

Umm, he's only been in Denver 2 years.... and he didn't play all of last year.

 

Brown only played a part of one of his two seasons with denver. The guy is just an injury waiting to happen. KVB is a poor comparison to make with Brown. KVB had only been in the NFL 4 seasons when the Titans picked him up, Brown has been in for 7 seasons. In 7 seasons, Brown played only one complete season... his rookie year. The guy has played in 61 games in 7 years (less than 4 season's worth of games), and in those 61 games he has had 19 sacks. KVB has had 19 sacks just with Tennessee. Brown just would be an absolute waste to sign, even as a depth guy. And that may even be a moot point as Adam Schefter at NFL network is reporting that Brown's career is probably over.

 

Who? Unless we trade up, or someone drops hard there will not be value at DE in Rnd1 for us. O yea Courtney Brown is hot dumpster juice. We are desperate but not that desperate for some DLine help.

 

Carriker and Moss are in many places guestimated to be taken just around our slot

 

Carriker is a possibility but I don't see him slipping to 19. Moss is exactly what we don't need IMO.

Exactly what we need? Moss is only 250 pounds and doesn't have any better speed numbers than LaBoy. NFL LTs will eat the guy for lunch and spit out his bones. The only thing he really has going for him is he is angular with long arms however if he gets run at he might as well turn and run.
