I mean, you guys all want us locking up Julius Jones for what... 5 years, 35 million? Or sorry, are we trading our 3rd round this year for Jones, so next year he can become a free agent? That's real smart cap and draft management guys.

I threw a scrub name out there like Blaylock, because he showed good flashes at KC, sat the bench for the Jets (meaning he isn't warn down as a 6 year vet), and is a very different runner than Lendale.

AND like i said in the original post, if we got him as a backup, he couldn't be the Titans only backup that sees playing time.


I might as well just suggest we trade for LT or Shaun Alexander.

If most of the posters here were GMs, we'd be in cap hell again in 3 years, locking Vince out of the facilities and with Julius Jones and McGahee signed to 7 year, 80 million dollar deals.


The Titans have MUCH larger concerns than RB at this point. Lendale IS the starter heading into the season. The Titans should be looking at someone to help in the RBBC, someone that could carry 30-40% of the load during the season. OR WOW, a novel idea... how about 2 backs that can carry that percentage of the load. You know, a scrub with potential and a draft pick.

Whoever started this thread asked for a name, I just threw out someone that I thought was realistic and complimentary to Lendale's style.

 

I am not confident that our Front offcie is smart enough to draft a guy like Walker, who could be a real sleeper/steal in this year's draft. Plus, he hasn't been arrested for a felony so he might have a tough time fitting in with our current group.

Walker does seem to be a good fit for our team.

 

Well, it seems we have very little concern for the type of personalities we bring in with Haynesworth and Pacman.

we need to see what White has to offer, we drafted him in the 2nd round for a reason.
Maurice Hicks, Toefield or Blaylock would be worth while looking at, Blaylock played decent at KC, and like someone mentioned he doesn't have the mileage of a 6 year vet. someone like these guys and a draft pick is the way we'll probably go.
