Wouldn't this be true even more for Alexander???? Betts had a decent few games and ONLY got Playing Time because of Portis and his shoulder injury. I totally disagree with you, but that is what this forum is for.

Betts will start over Portis this year..............He's a very good RB that's underrated........good blocker, catching, running, and doesn't open his mouth just plays hard I really like the guy.

The list is made up by last years production which is why Shaun A. isn't on it.

Maybe not best pure RB but he's dayumm good at everything he does.

  9. hes basically a brian westbrook except much faster, he still needs to work on just taking what he can get instead of always trying to make the big play when he is running

    My take..

My take on these top 10 lists is that i want to have a memory longer than one season. A player who has been on my top ten wouldn't be booted for one off year and i wouldn't be drooling all over some back who has one good year after doing little for 2 or 3 like betts and henry. Where would those 2 guys have been in a similar discussion last year? 70th and 99th?

I won't make a big issue out of alexander. He has been the 2nd best back in the nfl since 2001. It's a non-debateable issue that he belongs 2nd!

Ederrin james has one foot in the hall of fame. He may be fading but remember he won't be 30 years old until august 2008. One bad year wouldn't keep him out of my top 5.

Fred taylor had almost 1500 yards from scrimmage last year and averaged 5 yards a carry. A certain top 10 back.

Take away tomlinson, alexander and the now retired tiki barber and there is no more consistent performer over the last 3 years than warrick dunn. He may be 32 now but he is still fast enough to have a 90 yard run last season and 1100+ yards.
