If you use Bud's travel agency, they'll book you at the team hotel.

    I gotta ticket to ride...

I'm taking the Amtrak train from Birmingham to New Orleans for the MNF game in September (Crescent City Line). 68 bucks round trip, leaving Birmingham at noon on Saturday and pulls into the station near the Superdome at 7:20pm. It has a dining car and lounge.
Coming back on Wednesday after the game...:toast:

RiverDaddy, if you can put up with 4 crazy, drunk women, you can bunk up with us. We really are thinking about wearing "F**k the Saints" t-shirts. Of course, if we ended up being shown on MNF, my parents would disown me. But we've got to do something real cute!

No, no, no. Great idea, elf, but it's got to be "F**K DA SAINTS!" The "DA" is very important. You could also go with "F**K DA AINT'S!"

A little advice for those who will be there. Since it's a monday game, I'm heading to the Garden District for lunch at commander's palace. It's not nearly as expensive as their dinners are, but the food is still great. The important part? 25 Cent Martinis from 11-2... If that isn't a great way to start your pre-game in New Orleans, I don't know what is. Don't worry, when week three gets here, I'll start a thread with plenty of advice for pregaming. After living there for four years, I've got plenty of advice. High-end and low-end.

I've been to New Orleans many times, the last time was 3 months before the ***** Katrina hit, so I'm not sure what places are still there or the same/different.

I have had lunch at CP and it is great, the pre-game matini's sounds like a good idea.

That was already done last year by a saints fan against the Eagles and was shown on TV. I can promise you they wont let that happen again, both for FCC violations, and because of the lack of creativity.
