This is NOT a first time offense when it has been going on since 2001. Read the text of the indictment (it is widely available on the internet, try smokinggun.com). They have at least four coopoerating witnesses and get VERY specific on Vick (aka "Ookie" I'm not kidding) being involved with multiple specific dogfights from 2001 to present including names of dogs, locations of fights, amounts of the purses for the fights, and the ways the sick *******s dealt with dogs that didn't perform well enough.

It also has details about Vick's involvement in illegal gambling on the dogfights. Illegal gambling can lead to immediate suspension under NFL policies, even for a first offense.

If goodell does not suspend Vick, his whole policy is a piece of crap joke and Pacman would have evey right to be upset at the disparate treatment.

That's okay, because it's a picture of a former mediocre college qb stepping on current NFL starter Elvis Dumervil, who had 8.5 sacks in his first year. Sometimes it all works out like it should.

This is the exact wording of the suspension letter issued to Pacman.

Anyone want to argue that the numerous negative public events surrounding Vick don't fall in the same basket?
