As I posted a few weeks ago....why don't you kids make a list of the players that it is OK to complain about, and the ones that are above critique? LT has about 100 more negatives posts, yet I don't see anyone complaining about that, or accusing those that make them of not being a fan. The ones on here that continually use the word "hatin" are just showing blind loyalty, and can't stand it when their hero is called out for his mistakes. VY is just another Titan to me, although a very important one, and it's critical he starts doing things better or we aren't going to win. It's still early yet, and we have a real game next week. We will see if he has improved or not. The Jags shut him down in both games last year, so we will get a good idea of how much he has improved. I back up every critisizm with examples of why I feel that way, and I also pointed out in this very thread that Vince is more mobile and a playmaker, but some were too busy getting upset to read that part.

I'm with you. In the last two preseason games, Vince has upped his QB rating by 40+ and has increased his completion percentage by 17% over his numbers for last season. He hasn't thrown any picks, he's thrown 2 TD's in 4 quarters of play (not to mention running for 2 more), and he has made quite a few impressive throws.

So big surprise when I come here and find Thunder saying Vince has shown no improvement, he can't throw long, etc. :blah2:

Thunder, if you're gonna spend Vince's whole career being bitter, you might as well root for another team, because Vince is going to be here for many years. I'm not saying Vince is perfect or has nothing to work on, but he has shown improvement and things look encouraging for him to have a better year than last season. For you to watch the last two preseason games and then come in here with the Vince hasn't improved and still can't pass take is just plain absurd and cuases you to lose what little credibility you might have had left.

Obviously my post went right over your head. That is the entire crux of what I was saying. With no threat of a deep ball, defenses are going to play 8 in the box, and the running game will suffer. Either that or you will see more of last night, defenses just containing him and daring him to throw. You just keep waving the pom poms, and ignoring the obvious.

Vince has had over a 100 passer rating the last two weeks. His first pass last night was dropped. He had a couple of others (Hartsock, Jones) which were very catchable balls dropped.

The guy is in his second season and still learning the game. He has very average targets to work with. I can't see how anyone can be critical of him the last two weeks. We get this kind of play from him over the regular season and the Titans will be playoff bound.

Let's talk after the Jags game....a real game..not preseason.

Then shouldn't you wait until the Jags game?

Yes, my logic is that you should carve up defenses in preseason when they aren't even gameplanning for you. If you have a weakness in those games, it will only magnify itself in regular season, when defenses are actually putting in schemes to stop you. Thanks for your valuable input.

No, your logic is it is fine to be critical of VY in pre-season, but it is not fine to praise VY in pre-season.

    Thanks for playing.
