Vince didn't really do anything at all. Sure, you can't give him any credit, but I don't see how you can complain when he only threw 14 passes, and had a few drops and penalties take away big gains. He didn't really make any mistakes, and wasn't needed to win the game. He wasn't spectacular by any means, but he did enough to get the W, so I don't see how we can complain too much right now.

What did everyone think about how Griffin played at safety?

It's way too soon to panic about Young, but it does make you wonder when, just last week, Scaife had 6 catches for 49 yds, Williams 5 for 124 yds and Gage 5 for 48 yds; today, those three had 2 for 12 yds, 1 for 3 yds and 2 for 19 yds, respectively. Even allowing for drops and the fact that Collins has the stronger arm and is more experienced as a pocket passer, that's still a big dropoff in production. The question is whether the problem is the playcalling, the play of the QB, some other reason, or a combination of all of the above?

At some point, the Titans are going to need better balance on offense. People grumbled about the lack of red zone production last week. But at least they got into the RZ on a consistent basis (9 times). Today, they only got inside Oakland's 20-yard line twice all day. If Fisher and Chow don't want to have to bench VY -- and I know they don't want to do that - they need to find a way to open up the passing offense in a way that best suits his skill and will restore the confidence he seems to have lost.

Are you serious? You need to chill out man, really. He had two TD passes dropped today and a slew of other passes dropped. What? Is he supposed to catch his passes now? C'mon.....

Dude. That comparison is not even fair. Look at the games.

    Collins games
    42 passes

    Vince game
    14 passes

    Collins game
    38 carries for 155 yds

    Vince game
    36 carries for 192 yds

These were two completely different games as far as how they were played and called. The drop off in production is hard to measure. We clearly ran the ball today as a game plan, where as in the Collins game we clearly had throwing on our mind. Look at the Chargers today. They run the ball too, but they are attacking the Texans thru the air. We came out throwing with two downfield passes. Against the Raiders we all knew we would run, and we did.

I was ok with that playcalling. People keep saying we need to be less predictable in the red zone. Well, we called two passes on 2nd and 3rd, and both were delivered well, the first dropped by ganther, the second knocked from roydell's grasp by a hard hit. But the passes weren't very risky, and they were delivered well.

Man was I pissed when Gage's catch was taken back.

As to the original post, it starts with criticizing for not running with henry, then ends with saying everyone knows we're going to run so we should change it up... Well, which way do you want it? We have to either run or pass...

Henry did look good, but so did Lendale with his 133 on the day. If all henry does the rest of the season is come in for two drives, rush for 50 yards and a TD, I'll take that right now in a heartbeat.

Vince is in a learning curve right now, it'll come. Sure K.C. looks better, the difference is experience. We all have went through it in our careers, I still do at times. I see Vince in the pocket with happy feet, indecision. etc. His skills have moved up a level or two from last year, but so has the game. It'll slow down for him again. I think him watching Kerry play some more would help alot.

He had one TD drop... he over threw a wide-open Troupe. A'long with his usual low throws, in-ablility to lead a receiver and hit a simple flat route with any kind of accuracy. Every week people are going to say the same thing... " he just had a bad game ". If you're refering to the Ganthers bobble.. the defensive player had the angle... it was a 50/50 shot he was going to get in.

They don't say that every week. Find me quotes. Because frankly, over his two career, he's only had a few games were he has taken heat and two of those games we had 200 yards rushing. He's gotten a lot more good press than bad. And the posters here that support vince don't point to the passing. We point to the wins.

lol yeah i thought that was pretty funny too.

did he not realize that the play that was called would've been a TD if Ganther hadn't dropped it? that's not on the coaches. that's not on the play calling... that's on ganther for dropping it.

And then after that they threw it again and the ball hit Williams in the chest but it was dropped.

that's not the coaches. that's not young, white or even henry... that's ganther and Williams.

VY's targets dropped 3 passes that should've been easy TDs today. 1 to Williams, 1 to Ganther and then there was that horrible effort or lack there of by Troupe on a really nice pump fake by Vince... VY didn't play great but it was better than the stats will say. I've watched it 3-4 times in slow motion. Troupe's arms weren't even fully extended... he was 2-3 yds from the sideline (could've dove and been inbounds) and he wasn't running at full speed... and yet it still tipped off his finger tips. A touch more effort and that's a TD.
