I've read on this and other threads about how Vince is not the most accurate passer. His passing is ever questioned. What people forget is that he doesn't have to be. And that's where he's being misused. IF you take his legs away, then no he's a below avg QB. His legs are apart of what makes him great. The constant threat of him taking off is what makes it easier on his passing game. For the coaches to bottle him up is a total and absolute misuse of him.

For those who continue to clamor on about his throwing, give it a rest. For those who continue to want him to be a pocket passer, get over it. He is what he is. It's like complaining that a Muscle car doesn't get as good gas mileage as a hybrid. Vince is what he is. When used correctly he's a wonderful asset. When misused he's worthless. Just like anything else in the world. If you try to use a hammer to screw in a screw, it's worthless.

I wonder if they are bottling him up, though. They say they encourage him to run - I know watching the game it seems like he's hesitating to take off, but it might just be that the times he is taking off he can't get anywhere because the entire defense is bunched up in the box. Knowing we're not going to pass if we can help it might be making it tough for VY to pull it down and run.
