Pac was arrested/charged with 2 felony (really bad) crimes and one misdemeanor. The county prosecutor struck a deal with Pac (and his attorneys) to drop the felony charges in exchange for a no contest plea to the misdemeanor AND Pac's agreement to testify in the shooting case should a trial arise.

Goodell suspended Pac for an entire season citing the following reasons NOT related to the Las Vegas incident:

    1) A felony arrest in Georgia for obstructing an officer (which has since been dismissed)
    2) The failure to report the above arrest to the NFL.
    3) The failure to report a marijuana possession charge. (The charges were dismissed)
    4) A misdemeanor public intoxication and disorderly conduct charge.

It is first up to Goodell whether or not he will allow Pac to play this year. Recent indications prior to Pac's "plea deal" were that he would not let Pac play this year. (He had stated earlier that if charges were dropped and Pac met certain criteria that he would consider reducing the suspension to 10 games.)

Even if Goodell decides he will allow Pac to return, then the Titans organization will decide whether or not they want to allow him to play. It is uncertain what their position would be as they have stated they won't address the matter until the commissioner clears him to play.

So the summary of all this is that more of the charges placed against Pac have been dismissed or reduced. Pac has met much of the criteria set forth by Goodell for a reduced suspension, but apparently not enough to satisfy Goodell to reduce it. What Goodell will do in resonse to these new events is everybody's guess.

the bottom line is that its b.s. that pac cant come back untill next season. this guy has never been charged with anything ( up untill this point) yet he's the on thats suspened for 1 yr.. everyone else had been convicted of a crime.. dui's ,drugs, gun charges and they only got 4-8 game suspensions. but just b/c pacman was in the wrong place at the wrong time he's the one that gets suspened the longest.. imagine this you and a buddy decide to go to a strip club after work one night when you get there a couple of your other friends show up with people you dont really know.. all of a sudden they start a fight somebody gets hurt really bad and you get arrested.. then to make matters worse your employeer finds out and decides to suspend or fire you for your involvment.. now nobody really knows what happened at that stripclub that night with pac and his friends none of us were there that night.. rodger godell wasnt there either.. look i agree that he should have been punished for making bad decisions but to suspend a guy for a year not knowing the facts about what happened is garbage. i was really looking forward to pac getting back on the field this week. can you imagine what his skillls will do for an already stout defense... its scary.. i would also like to point out to all of the people that think pac shouldnt come back to the titans look what happened to the bears with tank johnson while he's serving a suspension for a gun charge he gets arrested for dui the bears immediatley release him..then it turns out that his blood alcohol level was below the legal limit. now the bears look stupid and are kicking themselves because they let go of one of there best defensive players without knowing all the facts and look were there defense is now.

The Georgia case has not been dismissed, only delayed.

I really don't understand why people keep alluding to the guy that got shot and Pacman. For one, the guy that got shot, or the people that was around him were not the person Pacman fought in the club, and if he does not know the shooter, how can he be responsible for him shooting. People keep saying he started the melee, but it was started by the two strippers that were fighting on the dance floor, and some of the security guards there say that let the fight go on too long. And if you are going to say he should not have made it rain, than the promoter is also responsible, because they brought him in to do that.

The Titans had no comment on the development.

Jones is still facing a court case in Georgia. A trial on a felony charge of obstruction in Fayetteville, Ga., has been continued to March.

“I may move it up,” Arora said. “I don’t know what we’re going to do with that. I just wanted to get the Vegas thing behind us since that’s where all the fanfare was that started this whole thing…

“They vilified this person for no apparent reason, one of the best player on the team – where you could have been 9-0 – would have been playing had people actually considered what the facts were instead of rushing to judgment like they did.”

    9-0? I don't think so.

Are these the same guys that think Goodell's destroying the "Patriot-Gate" tapes was a good idea?

TJ- I think your post may be one of the best summaries of the situation. The Georgia obstruction case is complete BS that will evaporate as did the others. I think the Arora statement regarding the fact that the Vegas case started the whole thing and people rushing to judgement is spot on.

    I don't think we'd be 9-0 either.

I think they should only re-instate Adam Jones if he turns in the Lindberg baby kidnappers.
