Who's responsible for players consistently playing poorly?
Who's responsible for players not improving?

Consistently? We have two poor games out of 10 with the same key players out. And I've seen just about every player on the defense improve from last season who played in both. Funny how surrounding talent with more talent improves all involved.

I'll say this schwartz is the god of defense compared to bill callahan and that coaching staff at nebraska the last few years.

Are we watching the same games? I've seen a defence being dominant only against poor opposition (Oakland and Carolina for instance), the rest of the games have been average at best and downright poor in some games.

Also, we're not just talking the 10 games this season, we're talking the last 5 years. The excuse has always been that the players are missing assignments, tackles, etc. but somebody has to take responsibility for that.

I see how it works. When the Titans D is dominating, it's because of the opposition. But when they struggle, it's because Schwartz sucks.

Some ONE? The players miss tackles. The players miss assignments. Funny that when the talent improves, gains experience and is healthy, they are a top 10 D. Credit the players because they are executing, right? But when they have a bad game, it's back to 100% on Schwartz.

Vigsted, the average ranking of the 7 teams we have played(jags X2) is 16th in total offense. That's average right in the middle. Your theory that we got fat on garbage teams doesn't hold water.

The teams that we beat are an average .400 in win/loss.

And Jeff, are you denying that the Atlanta Falcons, Oakland Raiders and Carolina Panthers are pathetic this year and anybody can dominate against them? The New Orleans Saints aren't looking too hot either.

Now we played well (defensively) in the first two games, but then it fizzled out.

And I'm not disputing that players miss assignments and tackles, but isn't somebody responsible for this consistently happening? Again, remember that the players have been blamed for our poor defence for the past 3-5 years, surely somebody must have a responsibility for coaching our players to become better.

The jets, dolphins, bengals are a lineup of powerhouse teams? They alll lost to the pats so i guess the pats just got fat on pathetic teams.

I think too much is made of schedules and many here thought we had a difficult schedule before the season started. The key is to beat those bad teams every chance you get.

My goodness after all we have gone through the last few years we have a poster whining about the games we won and the defense played well.
