Except for Brown, Kearse, and the 4 games minimum AH will miss because of injury this next season.

man ya gotta look at the bright side of things.....ok granted **** could happen if ya look at it antoher way u could seee

1 - KVB an Albe continuin to rip though o-linemen
2 - Brown progressin a little more to making him a solid second string DT if he isnt already
3 - Kearse returning to form (maybe the eagle read-react defense was the reasno for his struggle...maybe Jim can make him what he used to be...maybe hes slowed down a little..but he can easily post solid numbers on our line)

granted lot of maybes....but have faith!

I like this post for a couple reasons...

#1/#2 - Haynesworth is going to do his thing in the middle, which by result frees up the other dlinemen, including tony brown... he did have 52 tackles last year and 4 sacks which are more or less hard to come by for that position.

Especially #3. some people tend to think that if a player is good, they will produce in any scheme, no matter if it is 3-4, tampa 2, or read and react schemes for LBs and DLinemen or whatever specific scheme a team runs. Unfortunately that is not true, and alot of players benefit from assignments on the field. Kearse's assignment on alot of the plays was to rush and get into the backfield. Once there, kill the quarterback.

Although this was a liability on the run defense, it worked wonders on pass plays. Philadelphia's defense was alot more balanced dline speaking, where most plays are geared toward stopping both the run or pass, and relied heavily on the defensive player to make a decision quickly and adjust accordingly. I think our defense can utilize Kearse's atheleticism again, since we don't tend to run read-and-react schemes. With KVB on the other side, and #92 in the middle commanding a double team, I think Kearse is more than capable to beat alot of offensive linemen 1 on 1.

Don't be surprised if Kearse gets anywhere from 6-10 sacks next year. Especially if he gets the majority of playing time at the position.

If Albert goes down with an injury or misses time for any reason I want someone to trust at DT. What showed last season I don't trust the rest of the DT's because we got dominated.

I think we absolutly need to spend a high draft pick at DT, but I don't think they will. Like it was stated earlier when Albert was away the Titans pay. Now, knowing the Titans I have serious doubts we re-sign Albert. So why not try to draft a guy who can make up for some of the hurt? Even if we sign Albert then we have two studs. I like Tony Brown but he was shreded without Al. To me he's a quality backup.

who is worth the 24th pick in the daft at DT other than ellis and dorsey? no one.

im all for laws, bryant or harrison in the second, but a guy like balmer is not worth our first pick.

Good point, I wish we would trade up but I cannot remember us ever doing that.
