I'll take a mid round pick for him. I would not be surprised one bit if the value of that mid rounder becomes more than what he ends up being worth in retrospect. Goodell is ready to chop heads, and this guy just screams for decapitation. Ok that was an odd analogy, but enough is enough to me. Move on and try to recoup something.

But again. What happens IF he does go to Dallas and stays clean? Then we traded a Pro-Bowl caliber corner/Devin Hester type returner for what? Some guy that'll probably be on the practice squad.
Too risky IMO. I say just keep the guy and take what he gives us while he's playing. But then again, if we are going to trade him, it better be to an NFC team.

What happens if we trade him to Dallas, he doesn't stay clean and Goodell suspends him forever, and then the guy we draft with the pick becomes a Pro Bowler?

I think we just need to look at Jones and say, "Is his value gonna go up or go down?" Unfortunately, I don't know the answer. I'm trusting that the Titans' FO, who have been around Jones in person, will have a hint as to his chances of staying out of trouble.

I agree that we have to trade him to NFC if that's what we decide to do.

The Falcons drafted Bret Favre, then let him go to Green Bay. That will be hard to follow.

The issue is that he has burnt ALL his bridges with the Titans. Between the coaching staff and the players (remember the Haynesworth incident last year) there is no happy ending if Pacman is allowed back in that locker-room.

So, do we cut him or trade him?

The market will bear what it will bear. I can't see more than a mid round pick, and if I had to bet I'd guess a late 5th rounder would be his value right now.

Remember, we are talking about trading him before this year's draft - while he is still suspended. Goodell isn't even going to re-consider his re-instatement until training camp.

What if Goodell extends his suspension for another season?

I'm sure the teams that have inquired about acquiring him have requested some form of prediction from the league on his status

There no way he comes back! Case closed lets move on. It is unrealistic to keep posting scenarios where he is back, or making arguments as to why he should be. To quote the Rev. Jackson "The question is moot".

I want him back myself, but I know he is not welcome over at the complex any longer. I know he's great, we all know he's a game changer. The question now is what can we salvage from this situation.

I hope we can get a fourth although a fifith is more likely.
