    I noticed something about our offensive selections. Other than the TE;

    Cary Williams, ".....ranked in the top 10 in the nation for interceptions and <b>kickoff returns</b>".

    Hawkins, ".....and returned 42 <b>kickoffs</b> for a school record 922 yards".

    Johnson, also a kick returner.

    Is this a trend or just by chance?

    no, the Titans think you win games with special teams. Not offense or anything stupid like that.

    This isn't a good sign. Teams usually are returning KOs when they have just been scored on. How many kick returners do you need?

    What these guys have in common is speed. Because of that, they've been used on return teams. But it takes a lot more than speed to be a top returner in the NFL.

    We'll see all of them get a shot at returning in training camp.

    I think we're enamored with multi-use players, and special teamers fit into that. Last year we draft Griffin with intent to convert him to corner. sounds like this year we draft 1st round RB to convert to RB/WR use. Also sounds like we drafted an end with intent to convert to LB. NOt sure about others.

    Pac showed how special teams can change the game, but there aren't many Pacs out there. (Also Recall we almost drafted Hester several years back? I think we traded the pick and moved back to get Lendale).

    I think the idea here was that speed leads to big plays, both on offense and on defense. Special Teams is not what this was all about in my opinion. This was about creating big plays so that the offense doesn't have to work so hard.

    I think it will work.

    We are going to give the defenses a lot of matchup problems. When Chris Johnson rolls out wide who is going to cover him. And who is going to watch Vince. The Defense can't do both well. The Play Action and rolls outs are going to make it nerve racking on the defense. I like what we are doing. The more chaos we create the better it is for Vince. And speed will do that.

    We will get some special teamers out of this, but I think it was more about building a faster team.

    Yes, Fisher wants a "primetime" returner. As a coach, you want all 3 phases to be productive. Fisher's teams have never been high scoring, or touchdown making. Fans, give up that fantasy.

    is it really that big of a fantasy to think that we might try to improve in an area where we were last in the league last season? (passing tds)
