I think a receiver like Roy Williams would have the same impact here that we saw Bernard Berrien have against the Saints Monday. If we had a legit deep threat (Roy Williams absolutely is one) then KC could actually air the ball out and watch a receiver chase it down and take it for six. I can guarantee I've watched 6 passes fall to the ground about a yard or 2 in front of a receiver. Call it overthrown if you want to, but I think that good (speed helps too) receivers can kick it into overdrive and chase that ball down in full stride and take it for 6. If that was a legit possibility on our team then we'd be a lot more dangerous. Think about it...when was the last time you saw a Titan receiver in the open field with a wake of defenders behind him? The Music City Miracle?

I say do whatever we can to make Haynesworth happy. Whatever is going to increase his desire to stay in Tennessee...

As far as the WR position, I would like to see Hawkins hit the field and see what he can do...before we dish out big money.

Gonna be hard to do with next Tuesday's trade deadline coming before our next game. Time is our enemy.

I would trade a 1st for Roy...Likely we are going to have a pick in the high 20's anyways, so in reality its like a early 2nd rounder. Roy would help us to our ultimate goal, which is win a superbowl.

but it won't happen because the front office is convinced it would ruin the chemistry and he wouldn't be able to learn the system in time..but we can dream can't we..

Yea, good point about the picks being on the back-end of the rounds anyways - maybe a contingency if for a pick based on how well we perform? Give up a 1st if we make Superbowl, and 2nd if we make playoffs, and 3rd if we miss playoffs?

Or is that not possible, because then the Lions may throw the game on Thanksgiving to ensure a better pick? Not sure how those contingency picks work.

Then spend a couple more years in cap hell? I had enough of that last time around. It also shortens our window, and there's no such thing as a sure thing.

I didn't realize Houshmandzadeh was going to be a free agent. I'd take him over Chad...

    3. WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh, Bengals

Comment: “He’s going to be a free agent. He’s going to get paid. The Bengals won’t pay him, which is a joke because he’s one of the few guys on that team you could even begin to call a leader.” Said another executive: “He’d be perfect in Indianapolis, but it won’t happen.”

Best potential fits: Bucs, Jags, Dallas Cowboys, Tennessee Titans and Buffalo Bills.

    9. WR Chad Johnson, Bengals

Comment: “I’m amazed how quiet he has been. Maybe that injury is worse than we thought. You know he wants out and he’s the most gifted receiver in the league. But the injury is an issue.”

Best potential fits: Pats, Cowboys, Vikings, Titans and Jags.

    And one for fun:
    10. DE Antwan Odom, Texans

Comment: “They just signed him as a free agent (in the offseason), so I don’t think he’ll be available. But I think they realize he’s overrated. He’s purely a complementary player.”

I think you misunderstand, he's talking about giving up a 2nd rounder to rent a WR for the rest of the season.
