Not much love from Kornheiser

I like Tony on PTI but on MNF he has to make every game into some sort of WWE storyline as if football needs a new edge to get more fans. He's also in love with the big market teams so unless you play in the the NFC East, New England, Indianapolis, and Chicago he doesn't really like you. And is it our fault nobody knows who we are? We got one primetime game this year and we made the playoffs?! Yet the Browns who aren't any good get like 5 games on primetime.

 

If by "average fan" you mean someone with an IQ under 15, then you may be on to something.

I think you way underestimate the average fan. Most football fans can see beyond the "stars" and appreciate good teams each year.

With Vince Young out tonight I can guarantee Kornheiser will talk incessantly about how the Colts "owned" this division for years, how no-one knows who plays for the Titans and how this is a case of little brother growing up and fighting against big brother.

He will go on and on about Peyton Manning's knee and look for the sort of storylines that you would expect in a typical trashy women's magazine and the whole time there will be a game going on in the background that we will be trying to watch.

Tony Kornheiser is the reason for the invention of the mute button.

 

Well, he is right about that. I have never seen anyone cover sports that knows less about them then TK.

 

We got some solid love from Peter King this morning. His MMQB column features our o-line as the best in football and predicts a 10 point win.

 

It might be just me but I've noticed that TK has a serious man crush on Tom Brady. He couldn't stop talking about him last week. It was very anoying. It seemed that no matter what the subject he would bring TB up. I seem to recall that he has talked way to much about the guy even when NE isn't playing on MNF. I curious to see how much he talks or doesn't talk about him tonight.

I think he's alright. It's not like he's completely wrong. How many people can actually name a WR on our team? Who can name 1 of our OL players? It's easy for us to be on here taking jabs at him because, well, we're on a Titans site.

 

Well I was just listening in on a local show and the same question was brought up, so it not just Kornheiser... This team is under the radar alot I believe mostly because we are newer to the National attention. Publicity comes with production and winning the BIG ONE(NOT gonna jinx us by sayin' it).

 

I despise Kornheiser on MNF, I don't know which is worse right now NBC's garbage or Kornheiser on MNF. They're both in a dead heat on the suckmeter.

They should fire NBC's Football Night cast hire Jaws and Tirico for that.
Deion, Eisen and Mooch for MNF.
