BS. It's an absolute stretch. Suppose Lendale OR Alge don't cough up the ball...we probably score a TD and win the game. We absolutely dominated that game, just made the two most crucial errors of THE ENTIRE SEASON. It wasn't lack of anything, it was just two unbelievably poorly timed mistakes

And ENOUGH with this GARBAGE about not getting any turnovers or getting any pressure on Flacco, the dude barely completed half of his damn passes AND WE HELD THEM TO LESS THEN 2 TDS!!!! If you hold ANY team to 13 points EVER in ANY game in the NFL then your defense showed up to win. Our offense couldn't score more then 10 points and that is ALL because of two poorly timed (as if theres ever a good time) fumbles. 2 mistakes, that's what it boiled down to. Had neither of those fumbles occurred, then people are talking about the PERFECT game we played against Baltimore. There is absolutely no reason to throw our defense under the bus for a stellar performance. Like you said, the only stat that matters in the playoffs is the final score, and there's was only 13

I think a little reminder from Fisher to hold the damn balls tight could have helped a little dont you? I mean it's the playoffs! you need to remind the players each time you take a timeout. Crumpler lost the ball trying to stretch the play. i rather take a 3rd and inches than fumble the ball. Fisher needs to explain to the players take what you get and dont try to get greedy. but the 12-13 penalties should have been addressed after the last Meeting with the Ravens where we had 13-14 penalties.

If you guys blame this on the players then we have a huge problem trying to teach all these guys how to play the basic of football.

Come on dude. These guys are NFL players, they don't need to be reminded not to fumble. Its the playoffs. Lendale and Alge combined for...get this...3 FUMBLES ALL YEAR!!! Including the playoffs! It was just a putrid turn of events and 2 of the maybe 5 good plays the Ravens made all night. Don't act like a seasoned vet like Alge or Lendale who only had a handfull of fumbles in the past 30 games needed to be told not to drop the rock in the playoffs. Sometimes, **** just happens, and unfortunately it happened to us

I'm was just messing with you Jessie - not hatin'..
There have been plent who wanted Fisher gone all along, not just after the contract. The fact is though that Fisher would absolutely NOT be on the hot seat if TN won 8-9 games.. Bud will never fire Jeff.

Biggest barrier against us going to the super bowl might be the patriots with tom brady. They are getting a lot of age on them but still would have to be the teasm to beat next year and no coach game plans better for the post season than that slob of a coach they have and no QB is better either even though it's been 4 seasons since their last SB.

The steelers are always going to be good they have the great defense, great QB and tomlin has proven himself to be a very good coach. The steelers always seem to draft well.

Ravens have some age at key positions but they won this year with a rookie QB. Let's hope that flacco can have a southmore jinx..

If we can run the gauntlet of the colts-steelers-ravens-pats i have no doubt about the super bowl. We would win.

I appreciate your fanaticism about the game. The course of events, however, suggests that we weren't prepared for the game. Turnovers are ALWAYS a key to winning, especially in a playoff game. It was a turnover that set the table for the Ravens to send us locker cleaning in 2000.

They may be professional players, but they are not perfect. If they were, there would be no need for a coach at all. I am not down on Fisher, I just don't believe that a team full of professional players that have "don't turn the ball over" fresh on their minds are as likely to turn the ball over 3 times.

Yes- we outplayed them in every phase of the game- EXCEPT TURNOVERS. We got beat on a big play, where their WR got behind our secondary who happened to be tripping over their feet. (It wasn't a fluke like some apologists would like to think.)

The final score IS the only stat that matters. We should have been able to score more when we were in the red zone. We KNEW they hit hard. How can anybody claim in one sentence to say "We GAVE that game away" and them come back and deny that we weren't prepared? Especially regarding getting SOME points when we have the opportunity.

I've got some voodoo dolls for sale next year for those who believe in "unbelieveably poor timed mistakes".

So you're telling me you'd call two fumbles in the red zone in the playoffs something other then poorly timed mistakes? What would you call it? Careful game planning and preparation by the Ravens? Yeah right. Chris Hope getting beat deep was a fluke, he blew the coverage and he's a pro bowl safety, doesn't happen too often. We did give the game away, and we were prepared. **** just happens man. And do you really think that if Fisher had said (assuming that he didn't) "Don't turn it over guys, whatever you do" it would have changed the outcome? The Lendale fumble was a perfect strip and the Alge fumble was a huge hit. I would consider them both more of a good Ravens play then a bad Titans play.

And I'm not fanatical about the game, I'm just tired of hearing :clown:'s like yourself make up excuses for why we lost. It wasn't lack of preparation, it was two fumbles. It wasn't penalties (although they sure didn't help) and it wasn't lack of pressure or not forcing a turnover. Throw Fisher under the bus, throw the Defense under the bus, throw the whole damn organization under the bus if you'd like, the bottom line is 2 fumbles lost this game for us. Cut&Dry.

"Unbelievably poorly timed mistakes" is more of an excuse than the accountability associated with preparedness. You are the :clown: in this regard. Why would Crumpler feel remorse and why would LenDale state "he was to blame for the loss" if their wasn't some self attribution for the turnovers?

You want to excuse the team for the loss by stating it was great play on the Ravens part. I'd agree with that, but it wasn't like we were surprised. EVERYBODY knows their D creates turnovers. I believe a properly prepared offense can limit the opportunity for ANY defense to create turnovers. It can be as simple as wrapping up the ball at first contact in the red zone.

The only thing "cut and dry" about the game was that we lost. The Ravens won. We turned the ball over 3 times, twice on scoring drives, once in the red zone for the go ahead (or tie) in the fourth quarter. The Ravens did not turn the ball over.

Chit does happen. People like me believe that a result is the summation of products- not just "unbelievably poorly timed mistakes" or some other esoteric excuse for accountability.

And finally this wasn't the first time the Ravens sent us locker cleaning when we had home field wrapped up. Those were two different teams essentially, with a different coach for the Ravens. But I guess you would believe that game was also an "unbelievably poorly timed mistake".

100% agreement on your very well thought out post. The final score is all that matters in the playoffs. Win or go home. Once the playoffs begin, it's a whole new season and that is something many fans fail to grasp.
