Reports: Burress, Boldin, Johnson being shopped

    i'd take anyone of these receivers.....c'mon tenn step up. if i had to rank em i'd take boldin first, chad second and burress third......


    i understand recievers are gambles...but if we were to get one of these three.....it would be a pretty safe bet (these r about as good as it will get)


    "The Star-Ledger of Newark was the first to have the story, reporting in its Wednesday editions that Rosenhaus' initial e-mail to the teams said that Burress could be acquired through a trade.

    However, the NFL executive who asked not to be identified because he had to deal with Rosenhaus, said the initial e-mail said that the agent had three "players DESIRING a trade."

    The other two players are Anquan Boldin of the NFC champion Arizona Cardinals and Chad Johnson of the Cincinnati Bengals."

    yeah, with all these good WR on the market, it would be a shame if we didnt get one.

    I bet the Jags sure do go after one. prob cut Porter to free up some cap room.

    They already let go of Porter, As far as those 3 Wr's, I would take either Boldin or Johnson. Johnson would be the cheaper of the two i think as far as compensation but their both playmakers and thats what the Titans need. Burress has all the talent in the world but he also comes with a ton of baggage,its to much reminiscence of Pacman and i dont think the Titans are ready to go down that road again,i sure as hell am not either..

    Boldin could finally be the #1 here...

    I really hope we sign one of these guys. Thing is, all of them are under contract, correct? These aren't unrestricted free agents. I think we would have to choose between a first round pick and these guys... I wish it was just as easy as offering the highest bid to their agent. Hell no, we have to bribe their respective teams to come off them before we can even get that far. Still, any of these guys on the Titans this past year would have made a huge difference. I wish we could have went ahead and grabbed Boldin before the trade deadline... It will be fun to see how this plays out.

    At the right price and even then a maybe to Boldin

    Boldin or Johnson would be my pick. We will never trade for Burress considering the mess he has going on.

    Johnson might be the better value. His contract runs the next 2 years with a bonus year in 2011. He only counts an average of $5M against the cap the next 2 years. One major problem though. If they trade him it would have to be with Houshmandzadeh under contract long term. No way they can afford to lose both those guys.

    Once they sign housh then they would be willing to deal johnson but expect to pay a 1st and a third for him.

    This past season proved that housh and johnson might both be overrated since their numbers took a dive without palmer.

    I wouldnt say overrated,Johnson was never healthy through out the year and i dont know to many backup QB's that can put up the same numbers that the starter can. They've been in the league long enough for people to realize that when their healthy and they have a solid QB throwing them the ball their going to put up numbers.
