ABC Nation News reports that one Lions player and two Raiders are on a boat in Clearwater, Florida that has gone missing.

The Coast Guard is searching for the 21-foot fishing boat, which is thought to be about 50 miles offshore in the Gulf of Mexico. The players' names have not been disclosed. There were originally four people aboard. They were supposed to return at 1:30AM last night, but never came in. The Coast Guard believes the boat is in distress and waters in the gulf are "extremely choppy."

    not good ..

Wonder if it was a glass-bottom boat?

you shouldn't be out in a boat in 9 foot swells ... period, bad judgment on their part, I hope they're alright, but I've got a bad feeling about this

Coast Guard Captain Timothy Close says the boat Corey Smith and Marquis Cooper were fishing in when they were lost in the Gulf of Mexico late Saturday as not meant for travel in harsh conditions.
Waves were up to 14 feet and wind was at 30MPH on Sunday. Cooper is an experienced boater, but the conditions were brutal. "A 21-foot boat is a relatively small vessel to be 50 miles off shore in bad weather conditions," Close said. The search for Smith and Cooper remains ongoing.

Well they probably had enough playing for the Raiders and headed out. Probably better than playing in Oakland.
