T.V.'s aren't the problem. But having more than one reciever is.:hmm:

I think it's worth pointing out that although they speculated that he would possibly land here due to no other teams interest, it was later said that S.F may make a push for him.

Hail, All Worthy TiTaN dudes! It is apparent that we do NOT condone cheapness. As a previous poster accused. Have you not ever considered how much we have invested in QBs and RBs? One could retire to and buy a small Caribbean isle (next door to mine).

Seriously, our front office/head coach are looking for diamonds in the rough, that with their expertise can be built into shinning stars, like the famous jewel "Der Vanden Bosch"! :greedy: They are very good at this. Potential not Fame is what's important. Of course, it doesn't always occur or come about quickly.

I think their way of taking guys that are under-utilized, under-trained, over-looked, under-appreciated is the key to our current success and future potential greatness.

It's like a farmer planting in the spring and not seeing the fruit of his labor until he sits down to eat it months later. Sure the farmer was hungry months before this meal but there's no way he could have shortened the process.

And you know, sometimes you get a bad seed or two (Pac) or a seed that has to be placed in the greenhouse before it's ready to be grown out in the harsh elements of the world (VY). The farmer [IMG]just does what's necessary, either pruning or nurturing. The farmer is PATIENT! Unfortunately, for too many, the word patient is negatively associated with illness!

    As patient as Job,
    King [IMG]

Been much work to do in the kingdom, keeping the serfs happy, the nobles quiet, and the coffers full!

I don't think it is necessarily a bad thing we couldn't get the trade done for Holt, I also don't think it means we aren't going to get him because we couldn't get the trade done. I am not sure what was remaining on Holts contract, but it is more than likely an amount he isn't going to be able to get from anyone else at this point in his career. Lets face it he is 32 and is coming off his worst year, hardly a position to be in to be demanding big money. I would still like to sign him though, he is still solid and brings something to the table we have been missing.......reliable hands. Our receivers dropped balls last year at a clip only rivaled only by Braylon Edwards.

The Steelers' best player was a guy that they themselves cut three different times. :suspect:Their most consistent offensive player of the last decade was drafted in the third round. :suspect: Justin Hartwig was their center. :suspect:

    Is my point clear?

The Steelers historically never reach into the big name FA pool...

I'm glad we did not give up a draft pick for Holt.

Even better for us when we sign him. So say we all.

I just turned on NFL Network. I caught the tail end of a Torry Holt (where will he go) discussion...

They said he'll learn that Tennessee will be his best choice... we were apparently the only team to even try to deal with the Rams.

Rich Eisen and Rod Woodson just mentioned the Chiefs as a possibility... Torry better not do that. I probably will do my fair share of complaining if we can't outbid the Chiefs for Holt :)

I don't know why they wouldn't mention the Giants, Eagles, or Cowboys as options. Hell, there's probably another 10 teams that could immediately improve with him.

We can't pass up on this opportunity.
