seems that taxation on cigarettes has driven cigarettes upwards of $5 / pack
thats insane! fortunately, I found something just days before that helped me quit smoking.
I give you: the electronic cigarette

    THE DEVICE :
    consists of (3) parts
    a) a lithium battery
    b) a heating element known as an "atomizer"
    c) a cartridge that contains a batting for liquid nicotine

the "vapor" it creates (which looks very much like smoke) , is completely harmless to others. nothing is lit so there is no risk of setting fire. only the nicotine that you drop into the cartridge is administered .... no tar, cyanide, carcinogens, carbon monoxide, ammonia, formaldehyde, etc... are delivered either directly or indirectly into your system or those around you .. none.

    What's in cigarettes

I went from smoking a pack a day over a 15 year period, to under 5 the next day. On a recent trip to DC, I went an entire week and only smoked half of a regular cigarette on a break ,just to see if there was any change.
it was a Winston Red (I smoked Winston Lights) .... it was horrible! the taste was vomitous compared to the flavored nicotine drops i had in my "Vaper". I put it out after only a few hits ..... no thank you .... I'm not paying $50 a carton for that anymore

the Liquid Nicotine comes in many flavors and concentrations
liquid can be as low as 0mg / 4mg all the way up to 36mg !!
a good strategy is to begin vaping with a nicotine concentration you are used to (ie, if you smoke lights get the 11mg), use that for a few weeks, then cut that in half for another couple of weeks, then you can cut nicotine out altogether and just vape flavor

anyone with any questions feel free to PM me

The E-Cigarette is amazing. My friend has one. I went over to his house, tried it out, and it actually feels like you're inhaling smoke. Crazy stuff.

I never got addicted to smoking. I personally never understood the whole addiction thing.

    thanks buddy
yeah, once you get over the cravings it turns into a simple lifestyle change
I love listening to everyone ****ing and moaning about how they're paying $5 a pack (a guy in Long Island said he paid $9/ pack)

even though my initial investment was $75..... it has not only paid for itself, I'm ahead by $100 in only a month and a half

the kit I bought (from the smokeless shop) has enough parts to build TWO of these "cigarettes" + I have 1 spare battery. I use one and put one together for use by the Mrs. (who still smokes unfortunately .... but is able to stretch a pack out to 3 days now)

by far a better cessation concept than gums or patches

that sounds more dangerous than dipping
but I guess you could chew on a battery

    I don't want to sound judgmental here,but

smoking is a bad habit, dipping is disgusting

I happen to think smoking is disgusting, but whatever.

Yeah, I know it would be dangerous. The question was pretty much "tongue-in-cheek." :rimshot:
