They were just afraid that Boldin would go off for us when we played them this year if they traded him. :)

last offer from us I heard was like a 2nd rounder and a player (unnamed)
i hope our real offer was better than this or the player was good b/c we gave a 2nd rounder for a rookie TE

    Whisenhunt on Phoenix radio today

Whisenhunt on sports radio here in Phoenix today. He claimed that it was a miscommunication and that "people on the Titans side" didn't get the message back to Fisher. Bottom line is that he claims the Cards did call the Titans back.

Considering the Cardinals history it's a little surprising so soon after the Super Bowl to start doing a bad Raiders impression.

"Hello,Coach Fisher? Hi, this is Suzi, at the front desk. You remember that big important deal that had the whole office in a tizzy last Friday? Well, the Cardinals called back that night and said the deal's off.....but I was so wrapped up in reruns of Grey's Anatomy, it completely slipped my mind until just now. Better late than never, right?"

These expectations may unfortunately result in many people thinking that Britt is a bust, or jumping ship on him if he doesn't come out of the gate on fire...I'll settle for the next Eddie Royal for now, the dude hasn't even played a down on an NFL practice field yet.

Even if the Cards were willing to part with Boldin for our first rounder, I feel like the Titans would have only made the if all the receivers on our 1st round board were gone. I think we're pretty happy with a good young guy with a 10-12 million dollar deal vs the 40 million Anquan wants.

People can say what they want......we should have given up our first round pick. Britt (unproven) for a warrior like Boldin, come on that's a no brainer. Boldin is a number one receiver, with one key component many prima donas out there don't have....heart. Not to mention he can catch and run. I hope Britt comes out firing on all cylinders cuz passing on the oportunity to grab Boldin for a number 30 pick/unproven wide reciever was a big mistake. I hope I'm wrong though.:hmm:
