As a fan who has pretty much given up on Vince I would be amazed if this came to pass. What you are predicting is the best case scenario for the Titans, otherwise we will be compelled to use our #1 in the 2010 draft on a QB when our needs project to be LB and DE. If the light bulb goes off in Vince's head and he is suddenly a quality passer and field general we could be set for years to come, which is what the franchise expected when they used that overall #3 pick. If not, there's a huge hole in the roster. I hope Vince figures it out.....

To the contrary, I think it doesn't make much sense at all based on what he's shown so far. But many felt Haynesworth would never amount to anything. I can remember personally wanting the Titans to cut him after the stomp incident.

Even if Young outplays Collins in the preseason, Collins would have to struggle in both the Steelers and Texans games before Bud gives Jeff a call to start Vince. I don't know if Jeff would do it otherwise.

Collins would have to play like Jake Delhomme did late last season for VY to replace him.

And i dont see Collins getting worse, imo after starting a whole season Collins will be better, he is back in football shape and he has learned other teams defense first hand.

Its not Vinces job to win, its for Kerry to lose it. Judging from last season he's not gonna blow up and throw INT after INT. I really hope for the sake of our team that he impresses enough to get back in the starting lineup but I dont expect him to this season. Next season if he doesnt show his ability (not saying potential because by then it will have to be ability), he'll have to pack up and move because he's gonna be earning way more than a backup QB should ever earn.

I am quite certain that they didn't expect that at all. Let's all remember that Fisher and Chow DID NOT WANT VY...only the guy with the checkwriting pen did, and for questionable motive.

In other words, Adams had the Titans pick Vince because he believed that he could be that franchise quarterback, but if Vince was Florida's quarterback... or Notre Dame's... or anyone but the National Champion Longhorn's qb, forget it. He picked Vince because he was a Houston boy and popular in Texas... That's what mattered to Adams. It was a mistake. It was all about beating the Texans with a Texan... We needed a quarterback... I'm convinced had Fisher had more control in that decision the Titans would have drafted Vandy star Jay Cutler. This is evidenced by Fisher's communication with Mike Shanahan during the 2006 draft where Shanahan, on the advice of Fisher traded his way up the board to get what many felt at the time was the steal of the draft.

for what it's worth I would have been furious if the Titans had done anything with that pick apart from what they did. That only goes to show you that Adams has the ability to think like a fan.

Does that mean we'll be drafting Colt Mccoy next year?

Only way I see it happening is if Collins gets hurt. KFC won't likely stink the place up unless the team is stinking around him as well. In that case Vince doesn't = savior.. And on another note I think the team knows Vince is easily injured. His ankles are like toothpicks and he's no McNair when it comes to taking NFL blows and stepping right back up..

I hope not. He and Tebow are VY 2.0. I think he would probably fit our system better however. He doesn't seem like his ego has gotten to him like VY. Maybe I'm wrong.

There aren't a lot of QB's that really impress me too much that will be coming out in the next draft.
