Interesting, I think I'll give this a go.

Gus Ferotte shouldn't be destroying me.

I think its just the cpu skill sliders according to the videos. They affect your players aswell. like he says, when they are on 50, the players are only playing to 50% of their ability. Some of the videos show the offensive line picking up blocks that they would never make with the sliders down or the game level on all pro or all madden. Basically the computer cheats on those levels just to keep the score close. Which obviously leads to controllers being launched around your living room.

I tried this out on All Pro, because it's what I'm accustomed to. I did notice favorable improvements. My line got pressure, fewer drops (on offense, I still botched easy interceptions), and overall, I only had problems stopping smaller pass plays, which is better than the 7+ they terrorize me with.

The game did still do the usual "cheating" to keep the game close when I got too comftorable, but still a much better experience.

I'd advise doing this on All Pro or All Madden. I found it easy to move the ball at will, so Pro would still be so easy that it's sickening.

I have been running on no sleep and I played on All-Madden earlier, beating the Ratbirds 30-21. You can do it!

Fisher ball rubs off on me and it works well in All-Madden on online for that matter. I tend to pass more (5-15 yard throws) in Madden now... it seems easier for the most part.

Yes, he's suggesting you bump the comps player skill to 100%.

I did this when they first started coming out with sliders a few years ago (though they aren't in every version). I dislike when I get Steve Smith matched up on a fly down the middle of the field versus Ray Lewis and Lewis can run with him 25 yds down the field without bumping him. And that's an obvious thing. I also would adjust penalty levels when they seem crazy. Some years there are almost no holding calls and other years a lot of false starts. When was the last time you saw Offensive Pass Interference? Heck, Defensive PI is rarely called in Madden and is MUCH more prevalent in the NFL.

Anyway, I like when my guys and the computers guys are playing to there potential (ratings) since matchups are then very important! Then when you gameplan to create matchups...it works like it's supposed to.

Even on Pro, the players sometimes still do some odd things. I had a pass I was throwing 25 yds down the field intercepted by a LB 1 yd off the LOS. He must have had a 60" vertical!!!

Who plays madden on xbox and might be interested in an online league?

I wouldn't bump up the kickers or punters, they kick it out of the field like last year.

Passing is a little too easy. Vince Young is completing over 90% of his passes this year...
