JC- I don't really care if you benched or squatted that, BUT saying a guy Ringer's size benching 400+ isn't impressive is what most of us find off about your original post.

5'9" (ringer's height) does not= 5'11" (your self proclaimed height)

Also, can you bench 400 lbs, squat 600 lbs, AND make the Titans' 53 man roster as their #3 back and possibly their kick returner?
And concerning your point, like we've said, we don't care. Go make yourself a Titan's starting running back benching 400 lbs. Then we might. No offense. Just sayin.

Benching 400lbs is impressive. For anyone. period.

A lot of people can get into the 300lb range with a lot of hard work. but when people start to get to 375+ it becomes a different ball game. It becomes more than just strength.

Put 600lbs on the squat rack, get a camera, record it, and post it on you tube. I want to see you "squat" it. No Smith machine, and you got to go down all the way. I can put 600 on the rack and go a quarter of the way down.......like most guys I see in the gym, but to get in the hole is a totally different story.

Anyways, Ringer is killing it and I hope he continues to.

Where does it say that I'm 5'11"? Also slick, I stated earlier that me benching 400 lbs in highs school 4 years ago doesn't make any difference because I didn't make it to the NFL. Which is my whole entire freaking point, that benching 400 lbs does NOT make you any better of a RB. Sure it might help stiff arm linebackers but thats it if anything. What ever I can't waste my time clicking on this thread anymore, I have to take my kid to a birthday party. Do you guys think Ringer is the only player benching 400, please I'd bet you half of the backs in football do that.

I dont see how benching makes you a great RB.

I rather have a guy with good vision and speed than someone who could bench Albert Haynesworth.

You guys catch that interview with Javon Ringer on http://www.titansonline.com/media-c...-ringer/aff2fd4a-7dab-4024-a421-3fc95b168dfb? After seeing his responses in that clip, it makes it extremely easy to root for this guy to do well in the NFL. I'm not sure what some other fans thoughts are as far as what they'd like to see from Ringer in 2009, but I say he adds another 400 or so yards to our rushing attack. I know I made it clear above that I (just me) was not impressed by the bench strength he has, but that doesn't mean I don't acknowledge it as an accomplishment. His center of gravity is more important to his running style than his upper body strength is. We know the Titans didn't need to draft him, but did because he was a steal, and could be the next guy in if LenDale is out. Speaking of LenDale; I envision Tennessee using Ringer sort of how they used LenDale his rookie year, when they had Henry, and Brown. He'll probably get upwards of 100 touches I'd feel comfortable saying.
