did you even read anything before posting this? No one is saying Collins played poorly..

What I'm saying, it's the things that don't show up on paper, like throwing the ball away 2 of the 3 plays on the game winning drive or multiple times on 3rd and 10 throwing a 3 yard out to Scaife is what kills us. I'm getting sick of saying it but once again, you can't win a Superbowl with a quarterback that can't make plays on his own, It seems like Collins just takes what's given to him the whole game. I don't see why everyone is praising him for such a great game, 1. We lost 2. Even if we make the 2 field goals, thats only 16 points, thats hardly enough to win a football game. 10 points off 2 turnovers tells me that we had a lot of stalled drives as well. Regardless of the defense we played, maybe I shouldn't be blaming the loss on Collins, but I don't think ANYONE should excuse him for it.

I agree, we are 1 or 2 adjustments away from a superbowl, Quarterback and Punter...

i couldn't diagree with TheSureThing more. First of all, cecil did make some pretty bad calls, but it was his first game and essentially, we held them to one touchdown, he'll be fine. And we can go to the superbowl with kerry, hands down. he's been a phoenomenal game manager for us and has made a lot of big time throws. he knows where to go with the ball and seldom does he throw what i would call a "bad pass". plus i think once jared cook is in the lineup he's going to go off

if we try passing and don't kill clock it never makes it to OT. it was the correct call especially with the old man punting

Neither did I... but don't call out Collins cause he didn't win the game heroic style for you. It was a game in Pitt on the road and he played the game the way Dinger and Fish called it... Nothing on his part. Simple.

If you haven't learned by now, we are the Tennessee Titans, thats how we play the game... We play to win the game, not put on a show... Somedays the stats look great, sometimes they look horrendous... All-in all, it's only to get a win. As far as being a playmaker, no he's not Mr. Roethlisberger...

Let me ask you, since you think one of the adjustment we need to make is quarterback to be in the Superbowl...

Who available, would you rather have as the Titans QB right now?

Wrong. We play not to lose. And thats exactly why we haven't won anything lately. We win the meaningless games and fold in the big moments. When we had McNair it was a different story because we could turn to him in the 4th quarter. Who do we turn to now? Our best weapon, our Runningback, Isn't an option late in the 4th. As I said before, It's the Quarterback's game to win or lose when its tight late in the 4th quarter. I repeat, WIN or LOSE, not manage. Do you honestly trust Kerry Collins when the games on the line? Because I sure as hell don't, and Thursday night solidified my feelings on that.

And as far as QB's available, I've been over this before, Back when Cutler was on the block, I think he puts us over the top, as well as Brett Favre. QB's that may be on the block now that I think would put us over the top, Tyler Thigpen, Brady Quinn or Derek Anderson, shoot I'd even take Tavaris Jackson over what we have now. And if you want me to name a Free Agent QB I'll even do that, Jeff Garcia would be an upgrade over Collins and Young.

If thats how you want to view it man... whatever guess the glass is half empty. I'll keep my faith with Collins, he's doing a hell of alot better than I expected...
Yeh Cutler would have been nice, but we had our chances with him in a draft and passed on him... Blame the FO or coaching staff instead on that or how ever you see it. As for Quinn, Jackson, Thigpen, Anderson or Garcia... They would be no upgrade over Collins. 3 possibly 4 unproven QB's in that list, Garcia being the exception, he's not fit here, he is in the West Coast style tho...

I am not a big fan of KC, he should be a backup QB and anybody that says different just isn't being honest.

That being said he did have a pretty good game last night. However that was with Pittsburgh's best defensive player out of the game.

Without AH our defensive line won't be nearly as good. Anybody who thinks otherwise is lying to themselves or is just an idiot.

I understand why people are scared of putting in Vince. I think the argument that "really bad QB's have won Super Bowls before" is a TERRIBLE reason to leave KC as the starter. Seriously.... it's like saying some people survive cancer without treatment so you shouldn't get treated.

Still KC and VY don't have a great wide receiver which defiantly hurts both of them.

I think KC is an ok QB that doesn't make many mistakes but at the same time is immobile. He is the 3rd oldest QB in the game but the two older QB's (Farve and Warner) have much better records. I don't see him as a leader, I don't see him as a player that can win a game when the odds are against us.

We are not an offensive machine like NE or the Colts. We rely on defense to win games and I don't think we are going to win as many games.

    Just my .02 cents.

Nothing succeeds like learning from one's mistakes and there is no way these boys are not going to learn from theirs. They are going to hammer Houston.

I've never seen this board this hateful... including the 2005 season when we were DREADFUL. you would think we just lost the Super bowl, or just went 0-16. This is ridiculous.
