Yeah, thanks, you just proved my argument. If I wanted a QB who could put up great numbers in a loss, I'd have Jon Kitna with the Lions two years ago, the point is, we need to put the QB who gives us the best chance of winning for 4 quarters. When KFC doubles his TDs by Turnovers, then we'll talk.

Another point: the weapons VY had in 2007 (see above) vs. the weapons KC has now (CJ, Britt, Washington...). Who would you rather be throwing and handing off to? I'm tired of people saying KC was the reason we did so well last year. Sure, he contributed at times, but he is not the reason. It was our run game and our defense.

In response to the topic, I agree that the defense was what lost the game. Our corners- entire secondary for that matter- looked terrible. Once the Texans found out our only goal was to stop the run, they started passing. And boy did that work well for them.

I don't think Collins lost the game for us. He certainly didn't help to win it though. I'm getting frustrated with the apathetic play at the QB position. I understand playing safe, which is good when you're winning. But once again I saw balls thrown out of bounds late in the 4th quarter on 2nd/3rd and long. I don't know if its the coaching staff or KC or a combination of both, but it has to stop. Vince doesn't always make the best decisions. But I'm pretty sure he would have tried to at least make something happen when we need a big play in the 4th quarter. If KC steps up, then great. I fully support whoever is winning the games for us. But we're letting leads slip away and losing close games right now, so we need to make some changes.

Wow, rose-colored glasses:) Coulda been, shoulda been TD catches. With all those excuses I guess VY really had 30 TDs to 9 INTs that year, right?

You can give 3 td all to cj. Collins only big play came from a decent pass to washington that washington still had to tip toe to stay in.

i wasn't the one who said that was his best passing game ever, you did.

i'd consider the game against the giants in 06 his best passing game. or any game against the texans, he's always played well against them.

    all Ws, BTW.

Although this thread is about Collins, much has been said about other units on the team. We're pointing fingers here and there.

Going off thread, I would say a close look should be had at our new Def Coordinator. I would say 34 pts by the opponents IS relevant!

1st: 1 post does not constitute rarely.
    2nd: It's 2009 not too far away from 2010.
3rd: ask raider fans what? when teams didnt care about the game and let up or he took every big shot down the field he could?

Collins did not lose the game! The defense did not lose the game! The team lost the game!

But, any reasonably sane coach would try to use ALL of his resources to turn things around.

But, if we're just playing tiddlywinks, leave Collins in. If we're playing real-man, kick-mouth, stomp-head football try something different like VY! People and players change alike.

Our mantra should be: Quit living in the past and put some effort into turning this around!
