Really? I believe we saw him while we were beating you on your home field last year (with a much worse D). Should be a hell of a game, guys.

Do not be fooled. The Jets are the real thing.

After the Texan's loss to the Jet's in week one, Sunday's victory over Tennessee surprised nearly everyone in Houston, I can promise you that. But I am not so sure it should have. The Texans were 8-8 last year, and got incrementally better over the offseason. The Texans are a team on the rise.

As indicated in the OP, the real challenge from the Jets comes from their defense. The blitz schemes deployed against the Texans were just flat-out brilliant. The entire middle of the Jets defense is very stout. Kris Jenkins, their nose tackle is a true beast. The two inside linebackers are very tough. And the safety play from Kerry Rhodes is strong. Rex Ryan has figured out a way to compensate for weak pass rushers with smart blitz schemes in a way that has enabled him to turn this component of their game from what should be a weakness into a strength.

For the Titans to win on Sunday, the offensive line and blocking backs will need to be able to pick up the Jet's blitz and not be fooled by the clever, Rex Ryan designed schemes deployed against them. This is where the game will be won or lost for the Titans. Also, Chris Johnson will need to find a way to make some plays.

The Jet's offense is good, but it certainly is not any better than what you saw on Sunday from the Texans. However, Sanchez is well ahead of schedule for a rookie, so he cannot be taken for granted.

The Titans can win, but it will be tough. The Jet's really played well against the Texans and the Patriots. The Texans lost not because of how bad they were, but because of how good the Jets were. If the Jets continue to play the way they have during their first two games, they will be well positioned to make a run at the Super Bowl this year. But it is a long season, and a lot changes from week to week.

The Titans won the AFC South, and they are a good team in their own right. But their is so much parity in the NFL now that there will be no easy games. The contest on Sunday will be as tough as Sunday's game against the Texans, at least. So if the Titans hope to beat the Jets, they will need to come ready to play.

At least Fisher has the Texans game film to give him some insight on the Jets. Hopefully they won't see anything they are not already familiar with.

the titans handled ryan's blitz schemes beautifully last year in the playoffs. thankfully this year when ryan tells kerry rhodes to try to break chris johnson's ankle lendale white doesn't weigh 270 lbs.

Rex Ryan's exotic blitz schemes put a lot of pressure on the QB and they come from everywhere on the field. They lead to a lot of sacks and forced turnovers. However, smart QBs who can get rid of the ball quickly can exploit the scheme. We saw a decent amount of big passing plays against Rex Ryan's defense last year. A small chip block from the RB followed by a dinky screen pass to the side of the blitz can mean some big gains. It also leads to some one on one coverage, you should take some shots with Gage and let him jump up and fight for the ball against the smaller corners.

I actually think Collins is a good QB to have against Rex Ryan, he just needs to get rid of the ball quickly and he better protect the football if he's scrambling at all.

If we win, it'll be a close one. If we lose, it'll be a close one. It will be a great game.

I'm only 19, but I swear I was close to having a heart attack in both games. I can't take this :grrr::grrr::grrr::grrr: anymore!!!

kerry collins isn't on the same level as a rusty tom brady, not even close. it doesn't matter how fast he can get rid of the ball if he doesn't have time to go through his reads. the jets had 0 sacks against the patriots because brady was able to get the ball out, problem was he didn't have time to throw it to someone who was open.

No, the problem was - Tom Brady is too scared to play decent right now. Against anyone.

Any time he sees someone close, he screws up because of his injury last year. He'll be that way for a while, against anyone's defense- unless he's just getting an incredible cushion.

We handled Rex's schemes and killed his defense last year when they had better players in it. We can do the same to the jets. Our defense is what needs to step up.

    Brady-594 yards, 2 TD, 2 INT, 76.8 rating
    Collins-460 yards, 3 TD, 2 INt, 85.4 rating

Both QB's played games against comparable defenses, Jets and Bills for Brady, Steelers and Texans for us. Who's stats look better to you? Keep in mind, Tom Brady hasn't finished a game before this season since he lost the SB to the Giants...you can't just assume he's going to be as good after surgery on his knee and that much of a layoff. Plus, his team is built to throw the ball, Kerry's isn't. I'm not saying Kerry is on Brady's level, I'm just saying that right now he's playing better. And he is.

And Collins doesn't completely freak out anytime he sees a defender close like Tom is right now.
