SUMMARY: The Tennessee Titans find themselves sharing the AFC South cellar with the Jaguars after a 34-31 loss to the Houston Texans yesterday.

Despite one of the best performances by a running back in franchise history, the Titans defense had no answer for slowing down QB Matt Schaub and the Texans receivers. A team who ranked ninth versus the pass in '08 only giving up an average of 198 yards a game has given up an average of 339 yards in the first two games this season. If Tennessee wants to turn the ship around anytime soon, Defensive Coordinator Chuck Cecil must find some answers as the Titans continue to face the leagues better pass offenses over the next few weeks.

Nice Jeff. Felt coaching should have been a D- or F. We were clearly outschemed and made NO adjustments to the 3 step drop, their use of the TE's, or our secondary miscommunication. Also- shouldn't the special teams coach be aware and educated his gunners about the "fair catch bobble" rule?

btw-nobody is talking about the significant loss of Hentrich and the effect of getting a new "holder" for FG's.

Anyone hear any report on Hentrich today? I avoided the morning sports radio shows. Fisher will likely say he "has a calf" today at his press conference.

I wonder how much releasing Trepasso is stinging now.

    Secondary: F
Most definitely. They were probably as bad as ST as a whole in the first game.

Griffin: unless an RB breaks through into the seconcary and comes right at you...leave the run support to the front seven!!! Keep your :grrr::grrr::grrr: back in coverage where you belong.

Everyone wants to beat up the secondary. They were bad but with 2 minutes to go the defense held the game close enough for the offense to tie the game or win! There is no excuse for Collins to take off running when he is not a mobile qb. He flat out blew the game! Even if the score had been 53 -50, the opportunity was there to win and good teams can move the ball at least into field goal range! No excuses!

I also avoided the wake up zone this morning. I didn't wanna hear all the callers complaining about everything. I did that all the way back home from the game Sunday.

The only thing I disagree with is the mention of not kicking the field goal. It would've been 50 yards into a very strong head wind versus picking up four yards. Everything else is on point.

I looked up at the flag and didn't see much movement. And it was 4th-and-6.

I understand his reasoning. There was more than 10 minutes left. Fisher didn't want to risk giving the Texans the extra field position if the FG was missed. But I don't understand rolling Collins out so that his only option was Gage. I think he expected to use CJ as a decoy (who went left) and it blew up in his face.

Executing in the clutch is why the Colts won last night.

One bad play by Collins doesn't outweigh nor even cancel out the multitude of mistakes the secondary made that cost us several TDs.
