I see him hanging it up as soon as he stats really slipping. He seems to be too proud to linger on like old man Brett.

He'll be around a while if he keeps his jersey clean. If he acted more like a football player I would have more respect for the guy. He has precision, I'll give you that. He just lacks the heart and the grit that I love about football. I'd take a player like McNair any day. McNair was football. Peyton is a panzy!!!

Sorry I have to disagree with some of you but I know the boy was raised on football and I think he lives and dreams football, instilled by his father Archie. Don't know what he is like now but when he was at UT he was a pretty nice guy from al accounts I've heard.
He doesn' really fit the Tom Brady type mold since he married his High School sweetheart and is not the flashy type. He does a lot of TV commercial but he did major in communication so seems logical to me.
I would say this season and two more maybe and agree he will want to coach.
Don't get me wrong I still pull for the Titans to win vs the Colts but I have no malice against Peyton.
Now if you want to talk about the Patriots and or the Ravens and thier style of football.:grrr:

I don't think he'll coach. He'll be too busy making commercials until the day he dies. Coaching is a whole nother realm, and there's no guarantee that he'd be anything more than a good adviser. He's filthy rich already, there's no need to work for longer than you have to. Fisher had to, so did Dungy. The greatest players don't always end up being the best coaches.

As far as playing football, I think another 5 years is pretty likely, unless he slows down in a hurry. Maybe that knee comes back to haunt him.

I give it up to him: he's pretty funny. Really liking the Sony ad with him and Justin Timberlake speaking Mandarin. Upon further review, I think Peyton will end up doing some more TV and get some film roles when his career is done. And unlike Dan Marino, he won't suck.

"That Peyton Manning is so damn hot right now."

    Peyton will play until:
    A) He is no longer playing anywhere close to the level he's used to
    or
    B) Injury stops his career for him

If healthy, I could easily see him playing at an elite level well into his late 30's.

"Guaranteed". Such a funny word when posted by someone on a message board .

    What makes you so sure?

Really, I'm willing to be everything I have you're wrong (about leaving if they win it all this year). Peyton's a football player...it's what he does, it's what he loves. If the Colts win it all this year (GOD I HOPE THAT HAPPENS) he'll be hungrier than ever to win it again the next...and the next.

I think as long as Peyton's healthy he'll keep playing.

I heard he was the coach in waiting after Lane Kiffin. I give Lane Kiffin 3 more seasons.

I have reason to believe this is true but I have no proof so I didn't post it ,but now that you have opened the door. Yes, I think he would like to coach at UT.
It's in his blood to be around football.

It's called a prediction. Nothing makes me sure. Too bad we'll never find out who's right. Their piss poor running game and porous defense will never allow for that.
