time for change!

Didn't people use this excuse when VY was a starter? I believe we need to address the problem of special teams first, if Kerry doesn't step up next game then ill start calling for change.

 

I don't remember ever asking to have VY removed. I remember him getting hurt and losing his job and I was fine with that but then to not give the guy a chance to earn his job back on the field in a game situation when Kerry blows in crucial moments is utterly preposterous. So what everybody is saying is let's lose one or two more then when we know even if we win the rest that there is know way we make the playoffs well then let's let Vince play. That's crazy but probably right along Fisher's thinking right now so I guess I'm good with that.

 

Hi everyone! Long time lurker, first time poster.

I have a question. Did Fat Albert really make that big of a difference? I mean, in his contract years, he was so quick with his timing and would just power his way into the backfield. With that being said, since he was so quick and got to the backfield so quickly, it made the QB make some stupid mistakes, and therefore gave the secondary plenty of time to either get the tackle or int. Now I understand that when AH wasn't in the lineup, the would still have that push. What gives? Granted, I am no Defensive guru or anything, but if it's the same squad as last year, wouldn't they still be reaking havoc? I just don't get it. Are the guys just not buying into Cecil's game plan? What did Shwartz do different than what Cecil is doing?

As far as Collins is concerned, well I personally think that it's time for a change. They will still have the inaccuracy of Collins, but at least VY will have a better chance of eluding the pressure. It truly pains me to see the Titans struggling, and it hurts to think that I know good and well, the Squeeler Nation is laughing at us, saying...."We told you that there would be consequences for stomping on our beloved rag...err Towel.

I'm not ready to give up on this season, because after all, this is the NFL and anything can happen on any given Sunday (horrible movie, BTW). All I know is that the Titans really need us to back them (coaching staff and all). They really need our encouragement, and we really need to scream like we have never screamed before, when the Dolts come to town. Let's make a statement, that we as fans have their back. Can't wait to see CryBaby Manning on his back. GO TITANS!!!

 

I think our confidence is just plain shot.. kind of ironic us playing in Oiler uniforms Sunday
We beat Pittsburgh week one like we deserved to it's a different story and we go into Texans game a different side
But sure looks like a long season now
As we are still with FisherBall we just have to run Lendale more and play Kerry until we are out of the running for playoffs
Arguably we should have let Collins go last year - say thanks for 13-3 but move on, guess we just didn't have faith with VY
Got to say though, all those Schwartz haters, do you miss him now??

My First post... oh joy...

Great Defense we had last year. With that Defense we could afford to have a middle of the road QB.Plus we have a great running game.

This season we do not have the defense we once did. Therefore we have to score alot more. With Kerry Collins we cannot. With VY we cannot. However I think VY needs an opportunity to show what he can do after have his attitude adjustment.

Preseason games do not count. Those are not the same linemen Collins has, therefore you cannot compare a preseason game IMHO.

I do think VY would be better. Why? Because he can scramble. Collins cannot. Everyone knows if you bring the pressure every down with Collins he falls apart like undercooked syrup soggy pancakes.

Give VY a chance, but be sure to find someone else just in case for next year.

Bring back Pac. And I don't want to hear complaining from all the haters who disagree. A few good PR, KR later and you would all be forgiving him and jump on the bandwagon. Heard today the guys on 560am talking to Chris Hope and he was all for it too... made a good point, that sometimes people grow up, it's possible it finally got into his thick skull, I know he would appreciate another chance with the team that drafted him.

 

Sure it's possible he grew up. Would I bet more than $2 on it? No. Either way, I don't see how this team could be willing to give him another chance after all he put the franchise through.

 

Mouton did NOT return kicks or punts in college and was a CB......we are starting to see now why he DIDNT and why he wasnt a WR.....Mark Jones is way to get by.....but the specials teams needs another PACMAN....someone who anytime they touch the ball can take it the distance

 

Hmmm. I was just sitting here reading all this mindless dribble about VY coming in and being our savior and was wondering just where the heck all you VY lovers came from. I sure didn't see you calling for him last year or after the first week. If I recall correctly, Vince only had 1 good season, his first, and then tanked in his second. We got where we were with an awesome defense not because Vince played well. He hasn't run with the ball since his first season and why do you think that is? It's because the defenses know he can't pass for squat so they stack the line to keep him and the backs from running and making him pass the ball. He didn't do so well with it from what I saw. Now I know Kerry isn't playing great himself but I most definitely trust him with the ball much more so than VY. The QB of our future is not on this team at the moment.
