There is no comparison, Fisher is skinnier and has more hair.

Other than his 2007 slump, what have you seen from Vince that tells you he is a bust? He has been given about 1 and three quarters of a year of starting experience. Heck, he has had 2 offensive coordinators in that time. It used to be that teams were actually willing to let their qb's learn, but know they only want qbs that perform in one year.

I've seen a lot of people say this.
Honestly, how is it going to help?
We all know the chances of getting a 1st round QB that is going to come in their rookie year and blow it up like Matt Ryan has.
At best, we're looking at another couple of years of rebuilding. Don't know about you guys, but we did that back in '05 and '06.
Now if they started Vince, and he came in and stunk it up again ala 2007, then yeah, we'll have to deal him and get another QB and start over again.
But in order to find that out, Fisher is going to have to stop being an asshat and put Vince in, to find out.
I don't want to think about drafting another QB (unless it's to back Vince up), until we find out if Vince can capitalize on a second chance.

Yet, on the other side of that token you are trying to argue, we have people like Lamont Thompson, Reynaldo Hill and Peter Sirmon, who Fisher kept starting despite their epic suckage.
    Your point is moot.

Me neither. Which is why Fish's refusal to play him is pissing me off more and more. Mike and Jeff are systematically running this team into the ground, and Bud is doing nothing about it 'cept sitting their in his wheelchair inhaling his oxygen and slobbering all over himself. Senility and dementia are ugly things.

If they're not careful, it will last longer than two years.

    Well...

It's actually NOT that hard to figure out. The strategy of our D is to stop the run, get great pressure with the front 4 and play aggressive zone D behind it. We have played good run D for the most part, but we have not gotten pressure with a our front 4. As much as people want to blame that on Haynesworth - and that's a part - we've gotten MOST of our pressure form our DT's. The problem is our DE's have done very little. KVB had 12 sacks a year when healthy and before the Colts game has done almost nothing and he's been single blocked 95% of the time. Kearse only had 1 sack last year but the combo of KVB and Haynesworth was a lot. No pressure from KVB and less pressure from the DT's and it has exposed the secondary.

The secondary that is used to jumping the first route is now getting burned because the QB has time to east a sandwich, pump fake, watch a TV show, and then throw a TD. Because of our inability to get to the QB with 4 man pressure, we tried some blitzing. But even when we had the right blitz called, poor execution (Jets game) allowed big plays that never should have happened. So we try backing off the secondary...allowing teams a free 5 yards with our cb's playing 10 yds off. Sure we gave up fewer big plays down the field, but allowed teams to drive the ball consistently and chew clock and giving up points as the D gets tired. Guys up front get tired, guys in the secondary are afraid to jump anything cause they don't wanna get pump faked and give up a big play and you have a timid secondary. All bad things. In addition, this has put a large burden on the offense.

Offensively, our OL has been a HUGE poblem. Instead of one inconsistent run blocker, we have 3. While our rushing stats have looked good overall, our number of negative or very short yard runs has increased dramatically. So a lot of 2nd and medium and 3rd and shorts have led to a lot of 2nd and long and 3rd and longs increasing the pressure on Collins to throw the ball down the field instead of throwing 5 yard passes. In addition, the pass blocking has also been a lot more shoddy as teams know you're gonna pass more on 3rd and long. Since Collins Collins is not mobile, increased pressure means people in Collins face...add that to having to throw the ball 10+ yards and you have a recipe for interceptons. Last year Collins was happy to throw the ball away and punt it relying on our D to get it back, but our D hasn't been able to do that. In addition, we are frequently losing...so Collins is taking more chances with the ball and hurting us with turnovers.

Our offensive and defensive playcalling has adjusted. unfortunately, while our D did all it could against the Colts and got more pressure on Manning than any other team with just 4 rushers, a lack of cb's, and stupid penalties undermined their efforts. Our offense also killed us with ineffectiveness, penalties, mistakes, and bad decisionaking and bad playcalling. Going for a big play on 3rd and 1 is fine as long as not everyone is going long and you have an easy outlet to throw for the first down. The Titans didn't forcing a long throw...which is NOT Collins forte. Same thing on 4th and 1. Some of these decisions are on Collins deciding to take shots deep instead of trying to convert first downs (like they did last year). But some of it is the play design and play calling.

Add in a rookie returner fumbling the ball a number of times and terrible coverage units and you have a recipe for bad special teams play. throw in a bad snap causing a missed field goal and a OL getting knocked into the backfield on another FG attempt (blocked because of it) and you have a good idea of the major problems going on.

The D is starting to come around but has lost 3/5's of the secondary. The offense is looking worse and better find some answers fast and it starts with BLOCKING!!!! If the blocking doesn't improve, the money/draft picks spent on Washington, Britt, Scaife, and Cook will be a huge waste. I was happy to see a screen pass, but how come we aren't throwing them to CJ? You KNOW the Jets, Pats and Saints are all gonna throw a screen pass and yet they do it VERY effectively. Why can't we? And why can't we use short yardage packages that utilize VY at QB? Put in CJ and White with VY at QB and 3 TE's and see how the D aligns. They'd have to protect against White up the middle, the pitch outside to CJ and the rollout the other way for VY in addition to mismatches with our TE's.

This has NOTHING to do with Schwartz, but everything to do with Haynesworth, KVB, our special teams, slow to recognize/fix problems, poor OL play, poor playcalling, and a million mistakes/penalties by a lot of our vet players.

I agree. I think both Vince and Fisher know he's as good as gone. So even if Fisher plays him, it won't help. When he came onto the field, to me he looked like he could not have cared less how he played. That's the way I read his expression.

Vince Young quit on his team 2X, and once was in the playoffs......WHY WOULD ANYONE WANT TO PLAY HIM AGAIN!!!!!

All of the VY supporters need to get clue already. What can a player do worse than that to his owner,coach,teammates,etc....Just stop already
