Ok so i lied just a little, to me the man that is needing help is the Wr coach. His guys couldnt catch a cold in alaska with no clothes on. I mean they are WR that did get drafted so they must no how to catch a ball right? So whats the deal how do you blatenly drop a pass that hits you in the hands several times a game?? So its one of two things a timing and gel thing with KFC or a WR coach.

And then there is the defense and i guess ill give cecil a pass right now with the majority of our backfield out

Glad you asked, cuz I do, but my problem along with everyone's here is that its a lot easier coaching the Titans from my couch than it is for Jeff Fisher on the sidelines. I'm just if not more disappointed with the outcome thus far as anyone is.

My other problem is that I'm not inside the training facilities to really know where Vince stands mentally. I like the idea I have of Young, but I don't have a concert conclusion on him. TV, and the printed media are too inconsistent in their analysis of Vince for fans to grasp his true abilities. One day they promote him as the Titans savvier, the next minute they're throwing him in front of a bus. So based on what Ive seen and heard I'm optimistically assuming he hasn't had his fair shot yet. It'll be tough, but if I'm wrong about Vince then I will sadly say so.

So here's what I would do if I could have a say in how things go in Tennessee.

1.) Keep Fisher, but throw his game plan in the trash.
    2.) Get Young under Center.
3.) Use the talented RB's to shorten the distance for 1st downs.
4.) Have CJ become the back to spell LenDale. And make CJ the best 3rd down back ever.
5.) Do Not use CJ for returns. (He barely manages to catch balls in the flats)
6.) Play man coverage with CB's with safety help over the top. (We have rookies starting and any fool can run with a WR)
7.) Blitz (this makes the QB uneasy)

I'm not at the point where I'm in front of Fishers house with rocks, but if he keeps up with Collins I might be. I also wouldn't do all that at first. Too much change might make us worse. Get your feet wet with blitzes before you dive in and drown.

$64,000 question: How does the above get accomplished?

The rest here should be fairly easy compared to the above.

Its easy dumping Fishers game plan. Just remove Collins. Once he's gone you wouldn't dare pass 30, 40, 48 times. They're getting away from their strengths and trying out Collins. Even trailing by 14 you can make that up running.

Ohhh. Ok. I was thinking 'throw away the game plan' to include revamping the offense more or less around Vince and his ability (IF he shows that he can play and has improved).
What I'm thinking that could work is:
-plays that expose/exploit or take out of position, the spies the D will put on Vince
-more shotgun formations (even for running plays)
-more 3+ WR sets (even for running plays); would clear out the box a bit and give more hot options in case of blitz
-more bootlegs and rollouts (even ones designed for Vince himself to run for yardage); would be great in tight formations near the endzone where the box is stacked
-more misdirection plays (I really miss those when we ran them)
We don't have to run any less/pass any more. We just need some more trickery, deception and shifty movement. It'll still be steak; just spice it up an grill it a little differently, and maybe get a slightly different cut.
