I just want to throw some things out there to see if any fans agree!

I have been angry beyond explanation since week 3 when JF didn't start VY and the coaching staff started the season with many poor decisions.

NOW I completely disagree with starting VY next week and here is why.
1 . The team is playing so poorly that a rusty, underdeveloped VY won't get the help he needs to improve and succeed.
    2. I don't believe the O coaching staff is prepared to make the decisions that will help VY improve.
    3. I believe VY needs a situation with potential to be his best, there is very little potential in any form for the rest of this season.
    4. Putting VY in now probably destroys ANY (if there even is) trade value at the end of the season.

With the season over already I believe KFC offers the Titans the best situation for the next 5 or so games. After that point then I believe VY should start and show us what he can do or not do. Hopefully by then some other things have been worked out and the Titans can look to the future and start him.

IMHO the only way this could work is if Jeff publicly explains the above situation, something like this...."We would like to see how we do with VY as our leader, however currently we feel the best solution is for the coaching staff and KFC to work through some issues and get the team on track before making that change."

    Thoughts anyone?

i think you couldnt be more wrong....
this is the perfect time to see what he's made of! if he's a winner and can lead the time i wanna see it with some adversity, not once all the problems are fixed.
throw him in there and if he can be fairly error free, smart with the ball, make most the throws, and read a defense then we'll know what we have.

oh and vy has little to no trade value anyway... if he sucks it up it wont change that

the only problem with this is that Mike isnt gonna come up with plays that best fit vince young! he doesnt know how to use him! At least norm chow would come up with some good plays for vince every once in a while!

Young isn't our answer. The WRs are dropping good passes. Handing off to a running back is so easy even a caveman can do it! There might be some missing mojo on the team, or our carma has run over our dogma, but this isn't the QBs fault. Throwing Young in, IMO, would just make things worse.......... if that's possible. But then, I've been quoted as saying, "week 7 is a bye week. Somehow, we'll screw that up too". Somehow, we can blame all this on global warming.

    Horrible thoughts. You did ask.

Now is the time to go with Vince. We don't catch so why pass??? Glad he got some work in to work from during the bye. It seems like he lost the trust of his coaches a while back as well as his teammates respect. However being that this team is so down on themselves right now, they will try anything. Vince saved the 2006 season, he got through the 2007 season, and then got completely turned off. Flip the switch Titans. He may be on it again.

so you'd rather "save" a lost season and try to right the wrongs, instead of playin your other players and find out where you are personel wise?

lets face the fact this season is a wash, collins is NOT the future.....we have lots of players that could be gone at the end of the year. why not find out who we really need to keep and who is expendable? tryin to save this season does little to know good, unless your fisher and hopin a 3-13 season saves your job

So nobody here understands my point....That VY will only fail playing with the team and coaching the Titans have right now. Watch and learn. If I was VY's agent I would ask to be traded right now, avoid the setup and hope for a chance in the offseason next year to make something happen.

I think Fish is done and he may run away today at this press conference. Bud may have offended him with his comments. LMAO

Put Vince in and tell him here's the play but be creative. Check a couple of reads and then run your butt off if you have to.

I'd have Vince and three to four receivers busting their tales on passing routes repeatedly so they can get the feel for his pass. I would let them know you better find a way to catch passes he hits you with or you can earn a one way ticket to the open market.

Rest of the season isnt about trying to win 10 straight. Now it's time to give our future guys some regular season playing time.

Cook,Britt,Young,Ringer and i hope Edison should get a lot of playing time to prepare for next season.

Yeah unfortunately some people will just never be able to handle the truth, regardless of how tactful it is addressed to them.

Exactly, but only have him do that for a few games, then watch how other defenses adjust to stop it, THEN bust out some simple plays that expose how the defense adjusted to Vince's running.

Run 3-4 WR spread formations (maybe even 3 WRs and Cook split wide), to keep other defenses out of the box.

And lastly, get someone in there that can motivate the defense, because Fisher and Cecil sure aren't.
