Whats the deal with these two fools, can we cut them already? Why are we hosting the most ridiculous special teams bunch in the NFL? We have a punting carousel unlike any other, we are horrible in the return game, and we're allowing Kevin Kaesviharn & Alvin Pearman to lead the way to one of the more intriguing story lines of the year. What happens if we do go 10-0 through November and December? Are we going to be doing that with the two worst returners of the century at the helm? I mean kudos for not fumbling I guess. How bad does that sound? Praising two guys for not fumbling. I guess I should congratulate Pearman for not breaking tackles also then huh? I certainly wont be saying 'good job' for getting past the 20 yard line, that's for sure. And are we playing 'Name that Punter' in Nashville? First its A.J. then Craig, then Reggie, and now Brett Kern? I mean don't get me wrong, I am very pleased with this teams turnaround following the bye. But watching us rise to the top once again is hard when I'm seeing Kevin Kaesviharn & Alvin Pearman return kicks for us. With those names you'd think they're Chiefs or Raider players not Tennessee Titans. Good thing Nick Harper got hurt, and Kerry got demoted by the owner, otherwise were toast. I just wonder about Jeff Fisher some times is all.

I agree, I was a concerned when we lost Carr that we'd struggle in this area. I mean in '07 weren't we almost last in the return game, then we bring in Carr and last year I think we ended up #2 or something like that. You know the old saying, don't fix what isn't broken! I liked that kid we had during the preseason, A.J. Trapasso, looks like he has a good leg on him and I liked the way he ran for that TD in the preseason on that fake punt, that was great. Craig is probably going to retire so why not get a kid you can get another 15 years or more out of?

Id rather keep kern the trapasso. Kern has been really good kicking it for us. a 44 yard average last game is not to shabby

Dont forget the holding job for Bironas, he does pretty good job at that too. Thats the position on the team everybody forgets about until you get a guy that cant do it very well.

that's what happens when you let your best returner go and there are no others around to hire. We have those two because they were the only ones out there. Fisher should let CJ return.

Our best KR guy is Griffin but I'd assume they don't want him doing that all the time.
One guy that really confuses me is Hawkins. He has been active the last few games and he was a decent KR guy in college. I'm guessing he can't field punts or he would be our PR guy. He seems like he would be the best guy on paper but obviously they have zero confidence in his return ability.

    Seriously?

I know you're looking for any and all excuses to judge Fisher or Collins, but this is not a good place to do it. Kaesviharn actually had a really good play breaking up a pass on defense in the second half (sorry I don't remember more detail, but I actually noticed it at the time and commented on it). He should have gotten a PD for it, but it's not recorded on NFL.com. He's also playing on special teams as a gunner.

Pearman isn't anything remarkable, but what has he done to make you rag on him? Yes, he only averaged 23 yards on kickoffs, but at least part of that is blocking. He had a ten yard punt return, good enough. He's got good enough hands, apparently something that no one else on the team is reliable enough at.

As for the punter thing... Kern looked good on Sunday. Not amazing, but he's a punter we picked up midseason, what are you looking for? Getting a middle of the pack punter of the wire is all you can really ask for. Our punter got injured, and the first guy wasn't getting it done, so we got a better one.

Also, Trapasso hasn't been on the team during the regular season, he hasn't punted for us. If you can't even keep track of who our punters have been, why are you complaining?

I'm sure you have fun starting threads, but make sure you've actually got something to say before you do. Blowing off steam for no reason is just wasting everyone else's time.
