Is Fisher forgiven yet? Or are we Titans still upset?

You would wan't to fire Jeff Fisher and hire Charlie Weis???? that would be one of the worst coaching changes in history thats like firing Bill Belichick for Eric Mangini....

I don't hate Fisher, but I'd like to see him go. He's had enough time, and at least 2 teams good enough to win a SB.
Give somebody else a chance already...

I put much of the blame for the 0-6 start on Fisher. He miscalculated our kick returners and DB depth, which IMO was the biggest reason for the poor start and then things snowballed. On top of that we had veterans playing with poor fundamentals and making stupid mistakes, seemingly unprepared for the games - usually a sign of poor coaching.

I like his coaching philosophy. I like a run-oriented team with a strong defense. I even like his loyalty to his staff and players, even though it drives me nuts at times I think on balance it produces good results. For every Nick Harper controversy there are probably 6 other veterans who are playing with more confidence because they don't have to worry that any little mistake could cost their job. But he made some pretty bad mistakes this year. Not ready to give up on him - but that doesn't mean he's off the hook for the 0-6 start with his best team ever.

I agree with most of your post.I would agree that Fisher should take some of the blame for a 0-6 start the question is how much should he take. I would say 50/50. 50 percent players and 50 percent Fisher. Yes he has made some mistakes and that comes with being a head coach in the NFL. as far as this being Fishers best team ever I would say last years defense was better but this years offense is better if you combined the 2 we would be very tough to beat.

But the more important question is why he made these mistakes. Don't forget what he said just before preseason games began, "You don't want to be the first team to play us." He obviously thought he had a SB team and was going to go all the way. But his decisions resulted in an 0-6 record, with the worst drubbing of at least the last 30 years as the icing on the cake. Yes, we had injured players, but that is when coaches step up and motivate the players to rise to the situation instead of looking up into snow and decide you don't want to play that day. All in all, I still think the buck stops with him and I'm really mad that I put a lot of mind energy into this season. I won't do it again, that's for sure.

interesting point kinda of agianst fisher..

"Guess this really is a passer's league nowadays, as this weekend's matchup between the NFL's top two rushers (St. Louis' Steven Jackson and Tennessee's Chris Johnson) features teams with a combined 6-18 record.
THIS WEEK: at Titans (5-7)" - foxsports - Adrian Hasenmayer

and saying that harper played good or 'solid' to be more exact. i dont think i will get over that one....this guy is obsessed w/ DBs

As long as its a coach that believes in VY and is willing to design a system that best suits his strengths then im all for it. I honestly believe that if VY continues to work hard..if he is surrounded by a team of coaches that have faith in his abilities..he'll flourish. Even if its a new system

It's also a match up of 2 of the worst defenses.

Also if the front office makes sure that they keep the Dinger around then no, Vince wont have to learn a new offense. (Matter of fact it would just save every body a huge headache by just promoting Dinger to HC)

the team would continue to hum a long with all of fishers pathetic childish grudges against players, gone will be that dumb a $ $ harper, along with donnie nickey (any body figure out yet what exactly this guy does for this team?)

And we get to see the ole 15 td lendale White back and happy doing his endzone dance after jump starting our red zone offense back to the 2008 levels..(though i dont know that he can pull off his dance with his belly gone)
