    Awesome post indeed.

The Colts are an amazing blueprint of how to do things right.

Fisher has been trying to built ateam for a long play off run with McNair/George/Wycheck/Mason.

Since that line up faded past their prime the only blueprint Fisher has adhered to is run, turtle to protect a lead the moment you gain one and don't plsay talent over experience.

It's ultra conservative and predictable. The game has moved on and left Fisher behind.

Fire him the moment the final whistle blows on Sunday night. If not CJ will be done in 2 years and Cooks contract will be up without him ever seeing the field.

i think he gave the Colts to much credit, you take Peyton away and they are average.

Peyton is like a coach playing QB, he is what keeps the team in check. all the WR's have to do is get where Manning wants them to get and it's just like training out there on game day. run ,stop, turn around and catch the ball.

We do not have a system like the Colts, Vy and our WR's need to get out there and practice the same routes over and over and over and over like the Colts do.

What makes the colts special other than manning is their ability to conmstantly draft well in the mid and late rounds. They lose players to injury or the cap and have a way of plugging in new guys.

This year they lost Bob Sanders and BOTH starting CBs. A recipe for disaster but they just plug in guys who can play.

I also find it amazing that they had dungy's replacement chosen years before he left. Lose a hall of fame coach and don't lose a step.

Bill pollian is without any doubt the best GM in the game.

Do we have any stats that prove we are a run first team?

And what is wrong with running the ball? The cowboys in the 90s were a run oriented team and michael irvin seemed to have an identity and he and QB troy aikmen are in the hall because they won not because of huge stats. That cowboys team had 5 main running plays that they ran with emmitt smith and won 3 titles.

There is nothing current or hip about throwing the ball more. The colts win because they are damn good not because of a particular style.

Handing the ball 20 times a game to chris johnson is the wrong strategy?

Just look at the top 5 passing leaders this season and see what you come up with.... 4 of the 5 are heading to the playoffs possibly all 5....

Were #2 in rushing with the #1 rusher, and sitting at home watching them... I believe it's pretty hip(passing) and self explanatory.

The number one team in pass attempts is the seattle seahawks. The lions are 6th, the bears 8th. There is no correlation at all that says throwing the ball more wins games. There just happens to be a large number of super star QBs in this league. The chargers are 25th in pass attempts.

Simply throwing the ball more is not how you win but throwing more effectively.

    Interesting statistic..

In 1999 the titans passed the ball 62 times more than we ran it.

In 2000 the titans ran the ball 79 times more than we passed it.

The results were the same, 13-3. Situations often dictate the play call not a coaches philosophy. In 2000 we were playing ahead much more. That's why the chargers are only 25th in pass attempts this year because they played with large leads in many of their games.

In the seasons where our team rushed the ball more than we passed we averaged 9.6 wins.

In the seasons where our team passed it more than we ran we averaged 8.1 wins.

    So pass more?

In the 15 seasons of jeff fisher, so called ultra conservative fisherball we have thrown the ball 51.7% of the time and ran the ball 48.3% of the time. The years we threw the ball most were 2004 and 2005. Were those successful years?

    Perceptions are not necessarily reality.
