Bulluck will turn 33 on april 4th. How many 33 year old OLBs coming off major knee surgery can still play at that high level? It's very rare.

I can't imagine any 3-4 OLB coming to play for us in our system. Why would they want that?

Elvis Dumervil will be signed by march 5th there is no way the Broncos just tender him.

The best solution i can think of is to sign brackett to be our leader in the middle and sign tulloch to play the strong side. Mcgrath can play the weakside and we still have thornton to back up at both OLB positions of we choose to keep him.

Releasing thornton opens up $4M in cap space to help pay for a better guy we want to go that route.

I hope you understand that everyone's body is different. The book says the Titans should run, and to be glad he held up as long as he did. But that's just it. He's 33 and just now getting hurt. It could be the first of many coming, or it could be the one and only. I'm thinking its not a precursor of things to come. You obviously do.

I want to see Keith recover and be back to 100% but it's hard to believe that even the toughest of players can get back to 100%.

I love the guy and wanna see him back but only if he's able to play at a really high level.

Keith at 70% is still better than 90% of the linebackers in the league.

We can't be sure about that. We haven't seen him use that 33 year old damaged knee. At his age, one MIGHT suspect some type of arthritis to set in that knee after surgery. Without that injury, I would be with you 100%. There's just no way to know right now. We can't wait until next season to see if we have a 100% LB. We can't spend all sorts of $$$$ on a 'hope'. But then again, will any other team come after him?

I'd bring him back honestly with or without that busted up knee. McRath is better one year into his career than Bulluck was. I'd monitor his offseason and have Keith back at a fair price. Few teams will take the risk on Keith which only helps us bring him back cheap. Also realize he's a smart player, Keith has size speed and power, but that's not why he's a top LB. His head is why he's done so well over the years. He's always in good position, has a knack for picking out his opponents tendencies and weaknesses. The guys football IQ is high enough to pick up any slack he may develop from being on the shelf.

But that's just the way I'd go about this. Realistically knowing how our teams FO is, they'll shop for another guy to take his role. Then probably draft the D-linemen to make our secondary look better.

Just read on USA TODAY web site the titans are wanting to retain him but are not ready to open communications with his agent. Don't know if their blowing smoke but I figure as long as we are talking to Harper, we may as well offer him a 1yr deal. If his rehab is a head of schedule it will show otherwise 1yr deal no harm no foul.
