Vince had very... VERY little to do with most those wins. The D bailed him out while he tried his best to give most those games away.

 

Deuce, you have a bad memory, as usual. You can give the D primary credit for wins in 2007, but not 2006 or 2009. Can you even recall one game in either of those years that was "won" by the defense? On the other hand, I can remember several times when the O had a lead in the 4th and the D gave it up late in 2006 - the Ravens game being good example.

 

pretty weak argument...Nick Harper is a cornerback, there's entire games where he doesn't touch the ball at all. Paul Williams rides the pine, neither influences a game like the QB position.

And I'd say half of Vince's wins he's had to put the team on his back..

 

Hoge has had to eat his words...specially after this year.

This is the same guy pre-draft, that said Vince would be the worst pick out of the 3, Leinart, Cutler and Young.

You know what the one proven thing Vince has that neither of those other 2 dont? The will and drive to WIN a game at the end. How many 4th qtr. winning/practically miracle drives have we seen from Vince? Arizona game this year was a crowning moment for Vince....specially on a 99 yd drive where CJ was practically nonexistent.

Going back to that draft...Titans made the right choice with Vince, even if it was a #3 pick. Your other picks....

Leinart....could not produce at all with 2 Top All-Pro caliber receivers, in an offense already prebuilt before he was even drafted. Even the time he was starting, what games did he win??? All I can remember is his game against the Bears...you know, "They are who we thought they were!!"

Cutler....biggest crybaby primadonna in this league....without any records or accolades to justify it. 2 Years in Denver, and all he did was help that team flop at the end of the year every year....with decent offense placed around. Gunslinger who unfortunately throws more to the wrong team cause he is trying to squeeze the ball in places it shouldnt go instead of making the smart play. Just how long would Cutler have lasted here....on a team where drafting WR's for weapons wasnt a priority til last year? Funny how everyone said all this year Cutler was doing bad cause he needed weapons....so why wasnt anyone saying that in 07 for Young?

And like someone said 26-13 means more than your TD to INT ratio.....there are plenty games in that 26, that were won by Vince's play alone.
