He didn't even make the field that much, and hell, Hawkins contributed in that game too. I don't hear anybody saying cut Gage for him.

Jamie Petrowski. There's a name that makes me tremble. All those stats he put up...

People need to get over Crumps fumble. It was a perfect hit, helmet right on the nose of the ball. Give the defense some credit. Crump can stay as long as he wants to. It's not like we're gonna have any leadership left after KVB Mawae and Bullock leave.

This sounds like am awful lot like people wanting to get rid of lendale a year ago because he was fat.

Crumpler fumbles a lot because he forgets that he weighs 400 lbs and tries to do some stupid hurdle move while swinging the ball out away from his body.

    No excuses.

Plus, I'm tired of seeing this guy catch screen passes. Slowest guy on the team catching screens. Almost as bad as how we throw screens to Justin Gage all the time for gains of 2 yards.

I do agree with this. The man is just way too heavy and has cement for feet when he catches the ball. If he could drop at least 20 lbs, he could be more help.

He's near 300lbs. To really get his wheels back, Crumpler would need to drop 40-50lbs.

Crump has 2 fumbles in the past 2 years. Also, I'm not sure plays set up for questionable personnel is the fault of the player. I'm pretty sure Dinger is the only HC in the league to call a screen for a 300 lb TE.

I dunno. I think the team would be better off with crump on the roster than Cook or Stevens at this point. No reason to let the guy go if he's willin to sign for cheap enough.

What has Cook done for us? Remember a guy named Tyrone Calico? Someone who was supposed to revolutionize the TE position for us? How did he work out? Cook hasn't shown anything on the field. Its why Mouton or McCourty weren't starting over harper last year, its why Senderrick has barely hit the field, etc. etc. These things take a minute IF they work out at all. No reason to get rid of cheap veteran leadership that can still contribute when we don't have to.

First off, Calico was a WR- not TE. And how did he work out? He blew his knees out (thanks to Roy Williams), ending his career- AFTER showing a lot of potential.

When Cook has played, he's been productive. He's made plays. However, our coach would rather have an extra run blocker than a guy that can make a difference in the passing game. Because our coach is stuck in the 80s with his coaching strategies.

Mouton and McCourtey werent starting over Harper last year because Harper is one of Fisher's faves. No other reason, other than Mouton being injured most the season and a rookie.

What has Crumpler shown that Cook hasn't? Please tell me. Some blocks? Whoo!

Crumpler is a roster spot. And right now this team has many roster spots that are wasted. Veterans just because they're veterans means nothing on the field. It means they're easier to cover and 1 less person to worry about. Cook would draw attention. Crumpler wont.

Hm. I must have misremembered Calico then. Fair point.

I dunno man. I don't think this is something we will agree on. Crump is worth at worst a back-up TE role, no reason not keep him on if he doesn't mind the #3 spot.

I think our differences are mostly that you're putting a lot into cook's upside, and I'm putting a lot into what Crump has done. No injury problems since being in Tennessee, great locker room guy, catches more consistently that most of our receivers, great blocker, cheap.

And why are you bashing his blocking? We're a running team. A TE that can block as well as crump does and has great hands, even if he doesn't get you much yardage, is a skill set that is invaluable to our offensive philosophy, ESPECIALLY in the red-zone.

Cook hasn't shown the ability to be a complete player. And he's only caught nine balls. Whoop-dee-do. Plus, his yards per reception are EXACTLY the same as the slow fat crump at 8.2.

Still don't see why u get rid of him. I suppose we'll agree to disagree.

BTW, Calico was infamous for dropping 10 yard curls but doing on-hand catches over the head regularly. He was the model of inconsistency, even before the injury.
