If we need another slow person who's a good blocker and a worthless receiving target, we've got plenty to choose from. Put an 8O's number on one of our fat backup offensive linemen. Crumpler may not have had a lot of fumbles, but he had em when it hurt the most. Vanderjagt didn't miss too many field goals in his career either.

This will work out best for us and the Pats. We lose the awkward looking catching TE Crumpler was, and they gain a working TE. It'll also get Cook more involved, meaning more 1st downs.

Crumpler didn't necessarily have a fumbling problem, but he did have me scared to death by the way he held the ball.

Dang. There goes my idea of him being the answer to our punt/kick returner need.

Well my dream is still alive to draft Jermaine Gresham with our 1st round pick. That guy is going to be the top TE in the NFL within 3 seasons.

If our defense didn't need a huge infusion of talent I would really push for this guy.

And with a name like Jermaine, how could you not want this guy?

Sad to see him go, but I can't say it's a devastating loss. I hope this allows/forces us to mix up the packages we use a bit more, although I expect it just means they feel Stevens is ready to take over that role. But maybe, just maybe, if we didn't load the box with 7-8 blockers then defenses couldn't load the box with 8-9 tacklers - and CJ wouldn't have to try to find a lane through Grand Central Terminal to get a few yards.

Seems like the perfect time for our staff to throw screen pass to the slowest player we have.

    Keep dreaming.

Crumpler may not be a big fumbler but he did have his share of drops and since he wasn't targeted much it made it worse.

Alge's always been a real classy dude, so I gotta say I'm happy for him. We're going younger and I can really dig that. I can see Alge doing well for NE.

I'm gonna be pissed if he goes to NE, slims down and makes the pro bowl though.
