I'm not going to knock the signing because it is just a one year deal for about a million dollars but this is a guy who has been uniformly rejected by 2 different teams. What can you say about a guy who was a 1st rd pick who is then traded away for a 7th? And then that team releases him.

Is he coach-able at age 27? Can they find a way to use all that speed and athletic ability? They are obviously looking at that 4.34 40 and 41 vertical.

He will provide competition for hood for a starting spot and we will see how motivated he is.

Both this signing and the Babin signing seem to be examples of coaching arrogance where they think they can take good athletes, former 1st rd picks and get something more out of them than what other teams have been able to get.

Ideally mccourty will take his game to a higher level and beat out hill and hood for playing time.

 

They're[//b] rookies, and they played plenty during the preseason and when Hood was hurt. They didn't show much of anything though.

The 59-0 loss at NE might have been the most telling thing about them.

 

Waaaaay too early to judge Mouton and McCourty. They got put into a nightmare situation in New England.

 

if we get no pressure up front then our secondary will suffer just like it did last year.
