#1 - Carlos Dunlap - I just do not like this guy. Hes a Gators DE, and they suck recently. Derrick Harvey & Jarvis Moss were both solid college players at UF, but sucked in the pros. Dunlap is lazy and a horrible worker. That's not what I want on the Titans.
#2 - Rolando McClain - This may be a shocker to you guys. But I don't want McClain. We already have Tulloch. I really want to see what McRath can do, same with Witherspoon. Plus we still have Thornton. The Titans have higher needs then 5 legit LBs.
#3 - A DT in the 1st round - I've seen mock drafts with the Titans taking Dan Williams, Jared Odrick, and Brian Price. I just don't think a DT is a need for the Titans. We already have Jones, Haye, Vickerson, Marks, and Brown. All 5 can play, even if Jones plays DE we still have 4 legit DTs. We drafted a DT in the 2nd round last year. A DT is not needed!
#4 - Sergio Kindle - If he focuses on DE then yes, but if he wants to play OLB, no. Hopefully he goes to a 3-4 defense and not the Titans. I just don't think he'll make a solid DE. He needs to play OLB. Titans don't draft him.

I'd love if the Titans took: Derrick Morgan, JPP, Graham, Haden, Thomas, or Wilson. Hopefully we select one of the 6 (if we stay at 16).

Pierre-Paul. Workout warrior who's only played in 8 DIV I football games. Maybe in the 5th round, but #16 overall?? You gotta be kidding me. He reminds me of Antwan Odom without the seasoning, it will take him 3 years to see the field with all the learning and technique on his plate. Heck, he benefited from being opposite George Selvie, who was the best DE on that team.

    The three I would avoid.........

    JPP
    Haden
    Mays

I do think that Mays is going to slip badly on draft day...........JPP is however in TN wheelhouse because of his skill set and how TN plays..........he could excel there but he would bust in many other places..........

If TN got any of these three in two yrs you would be happy........"Titans taking Dan Williams, Jared Odrick, and Brian Price".......................I think all three have probowl potential........but its not a need spot for TN I bet you see trades in 11=15 to get a shot at them because that is where they will go. Odrick is amazing on tape. Price just never stops..........amazing motor on a bad team. Dan Williams can play NG so 3-4 teams are going GaGa over him.

I know of this dreaded wheelhouse. It's called Titans draft day which in layman's terms is an emphasis on measurables and an innate coaching arrogance that thinks they know something the rest of the league doesn't and can 'bring him up to speed quickly'. I have all the faith in the world in the coaches and they have brought us some success stories. Finnegan, Roos, CJ.
But they have also brought us immense disappointment; Calico, Dyson, Chris Henry, and that Woolfolk guy (yeah I don't remember his name either, I just know he was drafted as a CB one spot before that other CB Asomugha) (I won't include Mouton, Marks and even Cook just because they were rookies but seriously Mouton?

Honestly though, I'd be happy with Mays. I just want a punisher on D. We have none. I want to see snot bubbles.

we could always just send a 7th round pick to the bengals and they can give us roy williams, it'd be the same thing and cheaper.

Well, keep in mind we're talking about round 1. I WOULD take Dunlap in round 3, but NOT in round 1.

Guys we should avoid in round 1...
Dunlap - lazy, low motor, gets more sacks playing DT...didn't improve from Jr-SR.

Mays - while he could be good if used correctly, the Titans won't use him correctly and try and get him to adjust to our system. His bad COD means coverage problems and we face Schaub and Manning 4 times every year and if you want to win in the AFC championship game, you'd better be able to cover and rush the QB. Mays doesn't help either.

JPP - Totally unproven. Does not play to his measureables and while he could turn into an absolute stud in a few years in the right system, he should have been able to do a LOT more damage in college just with his size and athleticism and with teams focusing soely on Selvie on the opposite side. Huge risk we don't need.

Kindle - He's a quick burst player but he doesn't have good read/cod/stack/shed skills. If used correctly, he could be a terror on a 3-4 team like the Ravens, Steelers, Chargers. And after he became the focus of opposing offenses, his stats dropped a lot - unlike guys like Derrick Morgan and Jerry Hughes. He's got the talent to prove me wrong, but he's too similar to Vernon Gholston to take him in rnd 1.

    So...

So he has no chance to be a starting S...he's at best a 5th or 6th string CB and special teams player??????

Do you even know what you're saying?

He's too small and hits like a girl in order to be a safety in the NFL, I think.

He'll be a nickel-back somewhere. And he may actually be good at that.
