Titans coach Jeff Fisher confirmed that Ryan Mouton, Jason McCourty, Tye Hill and Rod Hood will be competing for the starting corner job opposite Cortland Finnegan.

The Titans could also very well draft a corner to help a unit that ranked 31st against the pass last season, but it sounds like Fisher wants one of these four to win the job. We'd consider Mouton, who is the most talented of the group, the favorite right now.

"I am not ruling out the possibility of drafting a corner,'' Coach Jeff Fisher said. "You can't have enough corners with experience, and youth, and athletic ability on your roster. And it's a good group (in the draft).''

man, that's a salt of the earth cornerbacking group right there lol. Oh well, hopefully someone really wants it and emerges and we get some help on the D-line.

I'm of the opinion that it doesn't matter who is playing corner... when your Dline sucks.

I'm thinking a 3rd round or 4th round corner mixed in well shake it up even more.

    Here's my guess:
    #1 Finnegan
    #2 Tye Hill
    #3 Mouton
    #4 Hood
    #5 McCourty
    With Fuller mixed in.

I stopped caring about this. I'm optimistic about all of them, but have zero expectations. That way, when they suck I won't be all bothered by it. And you KNOW they're gonna suck.

I wish Fisher would have more position battles. We usually seem to get a solid player out of it, like Finnegan. I wonder how many Finnegans are flipping burgers now because Fisher was set on an aging veteran, and a young player never got the chance to showcase his talent in games. Save Tony Brown, the entire D-Line needs to be in a position battle.

My list looks almost the same. While I do see Hill doing well and earning the #2 spot, Hood will be #3 then Mouton and McCourty. I see Hill finding himself a real home here in TN. He's coming into a really good situation where he can prove himself to himself and the team.

This is about right. Mouton shouldn't be on any NFL roster. Other than washing Jeff Fisher's car, I don't see how they even let that guy close to being apart of an NFL locker room.

I agree. I see Hood or Hill winning this spot just off of experience.

Hill seems hungry. Hes been considered a bust so I hope he comes in willing to do whatever it takes to ensure a spot on this roster.

Hood should be playing with a fire under his . Fish benched him for Harper when Nick got healthy. Rod needs to show he can be play-maker in our secondary

A big consern would be if one of these guys goes down with an injury, it would be like last year all over again

As for drafting a corner...idk maybe in the 3rd rnd. IMO we need to get a dominate pass rusher ( not JPP ) to solidify the Dline for years to come

we're going to draft a corner, we always do. i don't see why guys like mccourty or hill shouldn't be pushed for a roster spot.
