the reason the raiders grades are so low is simple, McClain is a great player, but the raiders don't need a middle linebacker when they have so many glaring needs to fill, even the favorite Bruce Campbell, a height, weight, speed LT that fits Al Davis criteria perfectlywould have gotten a better grade because LT is a major need for the Raiders

Dez Bryant is light years better than Demaryius Thomas. Denver missed badly on 2 picks. DThomas has only run 2 routes on the tree and came from a triple option offense, talk about learning curve, not to mention he hasn't been timed and it is conceivable he runs a 4.6. Dez is explosive, goes after the ball like a maniac and will run through you, around you and can run every route in the league. Extremely polished besides he had half the year off. I hate the Cowboys, but damn they did right on this one!

I agree completely with RollTide on Bradford............BUST! They got completely hood-winked. Could've had Suh and their choice of Clausen/Colt McCoy. Bradford is no longer playing in Oklahoma's 7on7 offense. How come TTech QBs are called system QBs, but Oklahoma guys aren't?

    Top 3

Seahawks - Got the best tackle in the draft at 6 and one of the best DBs in the draft(at least according to analysts). Filled their needs for sure.

Titans - Best 4-3 DE prospect in the draft. Filled our biggest need.

Raiders - I had to go Raiders too. I know that MLB is a reach at 8 and it's not one of their needs but you gotta give them a hand for going with a great player with a great head on his shoulders for once. Roll Tide!

    Bottom 3

    Broncos, Bills, Giants

No chance he makes it past #15 with the Giants and that's assuming he stays on the board that long. Was McClain a reach? Not really. He doesn't really fill a need for Oakland but Kirk Morrison, Thomas Howard and Kameron Wimbley are good and solid players but not pro bowlers. If McClain ends up being Bart Scott like he's compared to then it is a great pick. If Oakland thought McClain was the best player on the board then they should have taken him. Anthony Davis fills a big need for them but if they didn't like Davis than don't take him, good pick for Oakland.

    The 3 best
    1. Suh to Detroit - I think the Rams made a big mistake and it's not often the far and away best player in the draft slips to #2.
    2. Dez Bryant to Dallas - They traded up and stole him from Baltimore and he'll be an awesome tandem with Austin.
    3. Seattle - I love what they did, they got their left tackle for the next 10 years and a play making safety. They added two instant starters who could be pro bowlers.

    3 Worst
    1. Tyson Alualu to Jacksonville - I honestly had never heard of this guy and I saw a DT rankings and he was right behind Terrance Cody who was a consensus 2nd round pick. If they really liked Alualu than he could have been gotten in round 2. I think they missed out on JPP and Morgan. Oh well, not my problem.
    2. Matthews to San Diego - I have nothing against Matthews but I didn't see why they had to trade up to get him. I didn't see any reason any team would draft Matthews until he got to the Chargers.
    3. Tebow to Denver - Do I think Tebow will be great? No. Can he be? Yes. Problem is even if you think he can be great than realize there's so many strikes against him that a first round pick is too high of an investment. If he was a 2nd round pick than fine but first round 2 year project with a high bust potential? Don't like it.

How does Morgan meet our needs at DE? We already have decent guys what we needed was somebody athletically special.

We have plenty of 270lb guys who can play the run why get another?

We needed a fast twitch speed rusher so instead of getting the best guy that fits that description(Hughes) we get a guy that mel kiper admitted was NOT an elite pass rushing prospect who might have suspect closing speed. Really?

This is the NFL not Jackson St or gardner webb or Duke or Wake forest. Had Morgan come out after the 08 season he would have been a 5th rd pick.

We did great thinking a little outside the box the last 3 drafts but in this case we just took the guy that every two bit online site had rated the highest.

While Lamarr Houston and Carlos Dunlap were dominating their bowl games Morgan was awol in his!

speed isn't the only way to get to the QB, The best pass rushing LB ever was Lawrence Taylor and he used power much more often than speed to get there, same with Reggie White. Also Morgan had 12.5 sacks this season, that's quite a few for someone who isn't a great pass rusher
I have nothing against the raiders pick, i just can see why the bad grades are being given out
McClain is the best LB prospect in the last 5 years bar none, and I'm a Tennessee fan

The best QB is still on the Board, Almost all Big 12 QB's should be given the same knock as Texas Tech QB's the exceptions being those like VY who don't fit the prototype for a Big 12 QB
Jags shot themselves in the head, see my post in the Morgan thread formore info

Titans acquired the best DE period and at great value

If we are going to judge guys on single game performances I would watch film of Morgan against Clemson. he absolutely dominated that game.

I personally think we got the best DE in the draft. He has just as much upside as JPP and will be just as big an impact player as Graham will be as a rookie.

Now if we can trade one of our picks from 5 through 7 for AH our dline would be set.

Looking at today's draft i would love to see Kindle fall to us in the third round, as i understand it he is injured and will likely miss all of next season, but he is still a great talent and if we can take him with our 3rd round supplemental then we could have a pretty damn good player down the road.

Watch the video and decide for yourselves if the guy we drafted is a sure pro bowl guy. Not even close to being the best DE on the field that day. Clayborn #94 for Iowa was the far more dominant player.

A game like this matters because the acc has been weak the last 2 years.

Did you seem him get bootlegged for a huge play?

I remember watching Orakpo getting his kicked by Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, and Ohio State.

Would you have taken him with the 5th pick?

In fact Okung abused him in the Okie state game. But he turned out to be a great pro for the skins.

Say what you want about Morgan but he great productivity in college, and all the measurables to be great in the pros.

He had 3.5 sacks against Clemson so not all of the teams were crap. You wanted us to trade down to late 2nd and get Dunlap or take him at 16? Are you serious? Same goes for Lamarr. Honestly, what was a better value at 16 for us?

How is Morgan not fast? He ran a 4.72. Peppers ran a 4.68, Mathis ran a 4.72, Mario ran a 4.73, Jared Allen ran a 4.72. Speed is obviously not an issue.
