I wouldn't say we've done NOTHING to improve the defense. We went defense with 6 of our 9 draft picks and added a few decent vets via free agency but point taken. I wish I could be more confident about our #2 CB situation though. I like that we have a lot of young guys competing for it and I'm hopeful one will step up. Still, it would've been nice if we had picked up a proven guy like Leigh Bodden.

Despite my worries, I'm remaining optimistic about our season. I can't see us finishing 3rd in the division. Or maybe I just don't want to. :ha: With bias, I'm predicting a 10-6 season.

Did anyone expect our defense to make the jump it did from 06-07? Just saying. You don't know if weve improved until the season starts. I like RSB's breakdown because it obviously means VY was able to get us pass all the teams we could never beat to get to the SB. Indy and SD. And the Dallas vs Titans SB is awesome. with VY on our side i would expect a home game for us. Those longhorn fans come in large.

Boldin might help but Flacco is no Warner. DMase was the ideal WR for that offense and he's gone. Bengals D is getting better by the minute and will a league top D in 10. They added Antonio Bryant and top TE Gresham and a whole slew of other receivers. Bengals always whoop The Ravens and will again in 10...

I thought Mason was still there.

I wouldn't say they always whoop 'em. I did enjoy watching Who Dey take it to the Ravens in '09 though.

Didn't do anything to our defense?
We passed over Bryant for our upgrade to our Defense. It damn well better be upgraded and good with Morgan.

I think our defense has been upgraded. Remember that when we were healthy, our defense wasn't terrible. It was more like a middle of the pack defense.

I think Derrick Morgan instantly upgrades our defense. I think the LOSS of Nick Harper instantly improves our defense. I think McGrath having a year under his belt will greatly improve. I think a healthy Jason Jones improves our defense.

Jason Jones, Tony Brown, Jacob Ford, and Derrick Morgan is a very solid d-line if Morgan lives up to expectations.

I think we'll find a solid #CB out of our options. Hood was solid when he played last season and I'm sure we've got somebody better than him in our lineup now.

The only question mark I see on defense is Hope. His play will determine how solid our defense is.

As far as offense goes, with Vince at QB, we had no problem moving the ball last year. With a still solid dline, an emerging #1 reciever in Britt, and with some younger WR's with potential (Hawkins, Williams, Cook) I think our offense improves from last year.

My prediction is 11-5 or 12-4 if we play really solid.

I'll wait until preseason to guess how the regular season will go, i knew last year during pre season our secondary looked like crap and people said it's only cause it was pre season, but it carried into the whole season.

we will see soon if it's changed.

I'm thinking around 11 or 12 wins for us this year. We won 8 last year with every possible type of bad luck against us for the first six weeks. I don't see how anybody thinks we will be as bad or worse than last year. We'll get better just because there's no way we lose 6 in a row this year.
