Who will be our starting #2 cornerback?

Rod hood got burned a few times late in the season, i dont know if he just didnt care at that point but he has the talent to be great. if he would put in a lot of overtime in practicing he could be really good.

Rod Hood is basically Vinny Fuller @ CB.

He's not the best in coverage, but he seems to have a knack for making big plays any chance he gets.

And he's MUCH better in coverage than Nick Harper. He showed that stepping on the field after not have played in for quite a while. Or we magically got much better on the right side of the field in pass coverage.

 

Rod Hood, sub the other ones in from time to time.

 

Rod hood made Nick harpers stat sheet look like a special teamers last year in what 4 or 5 games. But he's not better than Harper.....any coach other than fish would have kept Harper on the bench.

 

i voted jason. for some reason i see him starting.

personally though, i think hood should start based on experience - younger players tend to struggle at the position and i think he gives us our best shot to win.

mid-way through the season though, that could change.

 

tye hill if he can stay healthy def. he was doin good last year till he got hurt. it amazes me how yall think rod hood and mccourty are good. They are terrible!!!!! they are just as good as rey. hill if that! They got toasted last year!!

I think all of em will get a start because of Tye Hill and Hood's proneness to injury except Verner, would be Mouton instead.

 

Bro i can agree with you that tye hill has shown potential (when not injured) to be just as good as people thought he would be when selected in the 1st round... and I can agree that McCourty had a pretty shi**y rookie campaign and at times looked as if he's never played the position... but are you seriously saying Hood is terrible??? Not even below average, but terrible?? It amazes me that you can say that, just look at his numbers while he played, yeah hes not the best but hes a play maker. He played in 4 or 5 games all year and was tied for 2nd on our whole team in INTs. Hood gets the start atleast on opening day.
