Vince to inherit Reggie Bush's Heisman?

Not all players. All College STARS. Big difference.

 

I hope that's just hearsay and not fact. It would make more sense to just void it. There's no integrity in the re-awarding anyone 5 years later.

 

Does the NCAA even control the Heisman? I don't think they coud take it way . . . I doubt that the group that did give it will take it away.

 

Too much time has passed for any fans to care. Anyone out there please let me know if you care about this... And you'd think us Titans fans would be all for it, but really, no one cares 5 years after the fact.

 

1. Only the NY Touchdown Club can take away an award they have passed out.
2. Vince would never accept the award even if it was wrapped in 1000 dollar bills that smelled like Beyonce's snatch.
3. Not every player accepts the handouts given to them by the fat cat boosters.

I can tell you there is a set of really big fat cat boosters at Texas that have basically formed their own little watch dog group to keep the AD and coaches abreast of any wrong doings by the other boosters. When I say really big I mean billionaires that have Sh** on campus named after them. I know of more than one occasion where they pulled a player and booster aside to retract gifts given. Most of the Texas boosters pass their gifts on after the kids senior year where it can't be controlled.

 

That's Jay-Z's plan to lure in LeBron to the Nets.

 

I'd rather he actually earned it. Reggie Bush earned/won it... Vince Young might get it by default? Bleh.

 

Much like his pro-bowl visits. :(

 

"Student"-Athletes in football and basketball are a complete joke. Very few places treat athletes anything like the rest of the student body. And then there are all types of perks not given directly through the school.

 

There are enough 'students' enrolled that these Universities need true athletes to compete. Give out academic scholarships to those who raise standards academically. Give out athletic scholarships to those who can catch and run. No one expects these athletes to go to school to get C's. They're given those C's. Carmelo Anthony slept in 3 of his 4 classes as a freshman at Syracuse, and those classes weren't even as hard as English 101. They are just stopping by on their way to the pro's. The schools know this and get what they can from the players.
