I would like to see Mariani in the slot on offense..he could be the Welker/Edelman if we gave him a shot..he's pretty fast and shifty.

Much more optimistic about the d-line than I was a few weeks ago. Tulloch looks beast. Still heavily concerned about CB2.

Starting O looks scary good like I think they will be this year.

I loved that Leinart was complaining about the blitzing... the Cardinals did their share of blitzing as well and VY handled it.

Gado and Blount looked very good as downhill runners. I think either would do well with the no. 1's to spell Johnson. If they grade equal I think you have to go with Blount although I don't think they trust Blount in pass protection so the grade may not be equal.

McCourty looked shaky on two seperate deep throws... and was beat on both it appeared although he seems serviceable and sometimes Corners get beat. I think he will be ok as the other starter.

Dline was active and fast. Brock looks like a keeper. He was held a couple of times that were not called otherwise he kills the QB. Babin and Jones also stood out.

Tulloch looked great. I did see him miss one tackle but other than that he was all over the place.

VY is going to make great throws and some head scratchers.. that's just who he is, I just hope he don't turn the ball over in the red zone. That is my fear. I think the Titans will be dreadful in the red zone without Chris Johnson.

Not overly impressed with Ringer, I think Gado or Blount should get the bulk of the second carries and Ringer be more of a 3rd down back if Johnson is tired.

The dline played like I thought they would. I've been high on them pretty much the whole off-season but that was because of Brown, Hayes, Ford, and Jones. Brown, Hayes, and Ford haven't even been playing so no telling how good out dline will be this year. We're sooo deep. Reminds me of the '08 season...seriously.

The linebackers are a lot faster this year it seems like. They're not only making tackles, but they're delivering crushing blows. The group has performed soilid 2 games in a row and more importantly they look like they're having FUN.

The DB's looked ok. It'll be interesting to see if Verner can win the #2 spot. Was good to see that Hope is not afraid to hit (sometimes older play at a lower intensity). I still think our DB's are our weakest link, but nowhere near last year's level. Plus Finny was out.

Offense. Really no comment. How do you stop them if Vince can continue to make throws? What happens when we throw in our option, screen, play action game?

This offense is scary. If our defense can hold teams under 17 we can beat anybody. This team right now has the talent level of the '08 team. Not to say we'll have the same type of season, but I think we have the potential.

My take on Ringer (as a former runningback).

He's not quick enough to be an NFL back. He doesn't have that quick burst through the line or when he finds a whole to be anything more than a backup.

Stafon Johnson had that quick burst. Wishing him the best.

Did Vince realize the fans were booing the refs lack of calls? Because he looked uneasy when he heard the crowd upset... Anyways, we look GOOD! I'm excited for the regular season. Just a few thoughts to post. (1) Jason Jones is going to be a monster, all 278 lbs of him! (2) Our blocking is great! The O-Line is going to launch this offense to new levels, and the reverse! Hawkins looked amazing leaping over guys and nearly scoring. (3) Is Tye Hill trying to make this team? I haven't seen him anywhere....

I think the team's right where it needs to be at this point in preseason. When you factor in players that are sidelined I'm pretty optimistic about the season.

Paul Williams has to know he's gone, but maybe he'll land with another team.

The running back decision could get complicated because Gado looked pretty good. I'd still go w/ Blount...unless they think they can cut him and bring him back on practice squad. That seems kinda risky.

I cringed when Brit kicked the ball, but he is very young and it's only preseason. Still it's the stupid things, like that, you have to worry about when dealing with a youthful team.

Defense looked improved, but it was the Cardinals, so I'm kinda wait and see on that side of the ball. Fun to see some blitzing for a change.

I'm not sure what Hawk was thinking when he hurdled over that guy, but it made for good MNF entertainment!

Hmm :hmm: :?: I think you may be right. I wouldn't jump to this just yet, but I was thinking the same exact thing.

I got the same feeling w/ Vince and the booing...but was hoping it was just my imagination.
